$200,000 Guaranteed Main Event
Day 1c Started
Friday at The Silks Poker Room at Tampa Downs, 181 entrants put forth their best efforts at making it through to Day 2 of the $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event of the 2014 PPC North America Championship. A total of 111 entrants showed up for the first flight, day 1a, and 17 would still be playing when they finished their session. The later flight, day 1b, had a total of 70 entrants with 11 of those surviving. That brought the total number that will return on Sunday to 28 players.
Today, tournament organizers are expecting a massive turnout, as the allure of the $200,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool and the four trips to the PPC Aruba Championship Event tempt players to give the tournament a shot. They'll be looking to build stacks similar to the ones that were created yesterday by day 1a chip leader, Arri Stone, who ended with 250,100 and day 1b chip leader, Evan Panesis, who would end the day with an impressive 235,300 chip stack.

Cards are in the air here at Tampa Downs for Day 1c of the $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event.
The husband and wife duo of Andrew (@anteupandrew) and Sara (@MalowitzSara) have taken their seats after deciding late one night that maybe one of them should play today. Not wanting to feel left out, both of them decided to play. Sara won a $130 PPC Ladies event here at Tampa Downs for $1,455 back in January. No word on if there is a last longer bet between the two but the house money is on Sara.

We're already over 100 entrants for this flight with 104 showing on the tournament clock. Among those taking their seat are Sam Medina Jr. ( @sam_medinajr) and John Pappas, who as we saw yesterday has a tendency to joke with his fellow players.
Two of the more notable names looking to move on to play tomorrow are Chris Lewis and Robert Harwell. Lewis comes into action today with $109,414 in reported lifetime tournament winnings including a $19,500 win at the PPC Studz Summer Splash in Miami Gardens. Harwell, a recent Tampa transplant, has $171,719 in tournament winnings including a six figure score he received for a win in Biloxi in August of 2013.

Jordan Wunder took down the PPC Tampa Downs Winter Fest Main Event title back in January of this year for $23,054. He's here in action today looking to add another title to his poker resume. He's already heading to Aruba so a little extra spending money for his "poker-cation" wouldn't hurt.
