Wang Doubles and Busts One

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Guangyu Wang check-called the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop for 6,000 and check-raised the {q-Diamonds} turn from 17,000 to 40,000. His opponent jammed and Wang eventually called with {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}. His opponent had {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for top pair and the {3-Clubs} river blanked.

The very same player then jammed for 40,000 and Wang called with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} to get shown {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Wang's kicker reigned supreme on a {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board to deal the final blow.

Down to 41 Players

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Within quick succession, four players were eliminated and that reduced the field to the last 41 hopefuls with 36 in the money.

Adrian Salter sent a short stack to the rail when his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} held up against {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} on a board of {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Dale Marsland also ended up all in, however, he received no call when he jammed the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. Facing a check-raise to 27,000, Marsland jammed for another 48,800 on top and that proved to be too much for his opponent.

Pappas Doubles Through White

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Michael Seymour raised to 6,500 from the button and was called by Andrew White and Steve Pappas in the blinds.

They all checked through the {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop to the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. White checked, Pappas shoved for 19,900 for Seymour to fold immediately but White needed some more time. After about twenty seconds, White made the call with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Pappas tabled {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the wheel and doubled up as the {10-Spades} completed the board,

Endersby Out Before the Money

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Michel Bouskila
Michel Bouskila

Travis Endersby was eliminated not far off the money bubble in the $5k Challenge and would suffer the same fate in the 6-Max Event as well. Down to around 30,000, he got it in with the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Michel Bouskila looked him up with the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The board came {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Endersby missed out on his overcard and gutshot to hit the rail.

Big Double for Salter

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Adrian Salter
Adrian Salter

A reraise to 22,000 was in front of Lachlan Dykes and Adrian Salter then moved all in from the cutoff. Dykes asked for a count and once it was deemed to be in the ballpark of 110,000, Dykes tossed in a single chip for the call without waiting for an exact count.

Adrian Salter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Lachlan Dykes: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The biggest pot of the tournament so far went in favor of Salter, who got there on the turn of a board {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The double-up was for 110,100 and that put a major dent into the stack of Dykes.
