Small Pot for Seidel

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

A raise by Erik Seidel from under the gun was called by Stanley Choi on the button and Sergio Aido in the big blind. All three players checked the {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {4-Diamonds} turn. On the {A-Hearts} river, Aido checked and Seidel bet 6,600. Only Choi called and then mucked when Seidel turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} as winning hand.

Kempe Takes from Peters

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

In the last hand of the previous level, David Peters raised to 4,500 and Dario Sammartino called on the button. Rainer Kempe then three-bet to 20,200 in the big blind and Peters called, Sammartino folded.

On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Kempe's continuation bet worth 16,500 was called by Peters before the duo checked the {7-Clubs} turn. On the {2-Hearts} river, Kempe checked again and Peters bet 40,000. After brief consideration and without table talk, Kempe called and Peters turned over {K-Spades}{J-Spades} for a bluff gone wrong. Kempe had that beat with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and somewhat closed the gap to runaway chip leader Timofey Kuznetsov.

Kuznetsov Shoves Into Torbergsen; Tang Busts to Seidel

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Timofey Kuznetsov continues his aggression and that just paid off in order to force a fold from Marius Torbergsen. The latter defended his big blind and then checked the {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} turn only to see Kuznetsov move all in. Torbergsen had around 60,000 left and elected to fold.

One hand later, Erik Seidel raised to 4,500 from early position and Devan Tang moved all in for 32,000 from the big blind. Seidel called and it was a coin flip for Tang's tournament life.

Devan Tang: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Erik Seidel: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Seidel spiked a runner-runner straight to eliminate Tang.

Yong Still Missing

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Koray Aldemir bet the {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} turn for 11,500 and then folded to the shove of Yu Liang to leave himself with 25 big blinds.

On the same table, the defending Triton High Roller Series HK$ 500,000 Main Event champion Wai Kin Yong still hasn't shown up yet for Day 2 and his stack has been blinded down all the way to a mere 8,900.

Kanit Triples; Yu Busts

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit moved all in for 20,700 from under the gun and Richard Yong called from one seat over. The action folded around to Yu Liang in the big blind and he called. Both active players checked down the board of {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Yong turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}.

"I can beat that," Kanit said and tabled his {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Liang briefly showed his {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Kanit tripled. "I told you guys, same hand. I am not grinding the short stack anymore guys," Kanit joked and stacked his chips.

Soon after, the same table saw the departure of Winfred Yu and that reduced the field to the last three tables.

Hand 1

Rainer Kempe started the action with a raise to 4,500 and the action folded to Adam Sanders in the small blind, who moved all in for his last 32,000. Kempe called and the cards were tabled.

Adam Sanders: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board came {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Sanders failed to improve.

Hand 2

One hand later, David Peters made it 4,500 to go and Paul Phua moved all in from the small blind. "Can you count it?" Kempe asked and the shove of Phua was for 38,200. Kempe then called and Peters quickly folded.

Paul Phua: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

"Oh come on. Ace queen, jacks, kings?" Phua asked, referring to the recent run-good of Kempe. The board came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Kempe sent the second player in a row to the rail.

Kuznetsov Busts Salter to Increase Lead

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Timofey Kuznetsov continues where he stopped last night and won yet another big pot to boost his stack further and eliminate Jack Salter. Kuznetsov defended his big blind and check-raised small on a flop of {K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Salter called and then faced the check of Kuznetsov on the {9-Clubs} turn.

Salter bed 8,300 into a pot of around 38,000 and called the shove of Kuznetsov for around 60,000.

Jack Salter: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {3-Diamonds} on the river improved Kuznetsov to a straight and that was it for Salter.

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Rainer Kempe three-bet an open-raise by Marcus Yi Lim and called the shove of his opponent with ace-queen. Lim had pocket kings and an ace appeared on the turn to eliminate Lim.

At the same time on another table, Dan Colman got his stack of 50,000 in preflop with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Dario Sammartino looked him up with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. After a board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Colman paired up to stay in.
