Chidwick Outflips Yong

Level 8 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Under the gun, Stephen Chidwick peeled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and shoved all in for 234,000. Wai Kin Young found the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} in the cutoff and reshoved to force a fold from Mikita Badziakouski who had queen-jack.

Chidwick flopped the top set on {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the {K-Clubs} turn locked the double for the Brit who finished with quads as the river fell {10-Diamonds}.

Leow Wins on Turn

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

With the flop reading {K-Hearts}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}, Nick Schulman fired what looked like 120,000. Ivan Leow called on the button and Tom Dwan also called to continue three-way to the {Q-Clubs} turn. The action was checked to Leow who bet 200,000, covering Dwan's remaining belongings. Dwan quickly folded and Schulman paused for just under a minute before releasing his hand, leaving the sizeable pot to Leow.

Leow, who lost his first entry after the second break, managed to climb to 1.3 million after buying back.

Chin Cracks Yong's Kings

Level 8 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Lim Chin Wei was all in for 202,000 and he found himself trailing with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} against the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} of Wai Kin Yong.

While Yong looked to add another chunk to his massive piles, he couldn't fade an ace on the {6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop. The {J-Clubs} was a dangerous card for Chin as he now had to dodge any club in addition to the remaining two kings in the deck. The {Q-Diamonds} missed Yong and Chin survived. Yong, despite losing this one, still bosses the tournament with over 3 million in chips.

Tong Triples and Schulman Eliminates Cheong

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Siow Choon Tong moved all in for 175,000 and Cheong Cheok Ieng moved all in over the top for about 575,000. Nick Schulman then called both shoves with a covering stack and it was off to the races.

Nick Schulman: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Siow Choon Tong: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Cheong Cheok Ieng: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came down {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and that gave Tong a full house to triple up. Cheong with the shorter stack than Schulman was eliminated in the process, allowing Schulman to pick up about 400,000 chips in a side pot

Yong Flops Good

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Following two limps, Wai Kin Yong peeled {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} in the cutoff and raised to 70,000. Mikita Badziakouski called behind him and the two limpers mucked their hands.

Yong had Badziakouski crushed on the {8-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop and fired a small bet of 40,000. Badziakouski floated with a couple of backdoors but Yong put him at risk when the {8-Hearts} turn landed. Badziakouski had no more business in the hand and let another pot go Yong's way.

Ivey Toast

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

After three limps, Phil Ivey moved all in for around 250,000 and action folded to Siow Choon Tong called while everyone else folded.

Phil Ivey: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Siow Choon Tong: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}

The bord ran out {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Tong made a full house to send Ivey to the rail. It didn't appear as if he was going to rebuy for this event as he headed out of the tournament area. With his elimination, a new player will be crowned the short deck warm-up champion.

Badziakouski Dusts Another Entry

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

After a couple of limps, including one from Paul Phua, Wai Kin Yong raised, making it 481,000. Next to act was Mikita Badziakouski moved all in for about 380,000. Action folded back to Phua who tanked for a good while before folding.

Wai Kin Yong: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

"Oh!" Phua said. "Good fold!"

"What did you have," Badziakouski asked.

"Queen-ten suited," Phua responded.

It was good news for Badziakouski as Yong had less outs, but the board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} giving Yong a full house anyways and allowing him to scoop another pot to add to his already massive stack.

Badziakouski appears to have used all three bullets up front for a chance to double for more, but now returns to the registration desk to buy in once more.

"This Game is Cold"

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Cheong Cheok Ieng limped under the gun with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, his left-hand opponent Peter Jetten overlimped and Ivan Leow shoved 166,000 in the next seat, holding {A-Spades}{9-Spades}. Cheong looked him up and Jetten left the contest.

Leow was still ahead on the {10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades} turn but the {Q-Diamonds} river ended his run as he lost his final bullet.

"This game is cold," Leow heard when he was leaving the feature table.

Siow Sees a Disastrous Flop, Still Squeezes Out a Chop

Level 7 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Cheong Cheok Ieng limped in, Ivan Leow raised to 71,000 in the cutoff and Siow Choon Tong pushed all in on the button. Cheong isolated and Leow got out of the way.

Cheong: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Siow: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

Cheong was in terrible shape but he could hardly ask for a better flop than {Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The {10-Spades} turn and {9-Hearts} river, however, discarded the trips as both players finished with a Broadway and Siow escaped the full bad beat, securing half of the pot.
