Chio Lin Ern
Chio Lin Ern

Yeu Wei Hsiang made it 10,000 in the second position with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and he cound two callers as hijack Foo Sze Ming matched the price with {J-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Chio Lin Ern joined from the cutoff with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop fell {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Yeu fired 20,000, earning a fold from Foo and a call from Chio.

The {A-Diamonds} gave Chio the best hand and he had no problem calling Yeu's shove of 48,000.

Yeu was drawing thin and the {Q-Clubs} river sealed it for Chio who soared to 388,000 while Yeu fired another bullet.

Chan Crushing Early

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Tam Tek Lon moved all in before the flop and Stephen Chidwick moved all in as well. Action folded around and Wai Leong Chan called putting both players at risk with his covering stack.

Wai Long Chan: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Stephen Chidwick: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Tam Tek Lon: {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and that gave Chan two pair allowing him to take down the pot and to chip up to nearly 600,000 early in the event. Chidwick and Lon were both forced to cash in their final bullets, leaving them with only 100,000 chips left for this buy in.

Leow Rivers a Straight

Level 1 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Three players made it to the flop for 10,000 apiece but the contest got reduced down to heads-up after Chio Lin Ern made it 25,000 in the cutoff and Ivan Leow jammed. Ern called for 113,000 and the cards were turned up.

Chio: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Leow: {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Chio flopped top two while Leow had an open-ender. The {7-Hearts} turn stayed with Chio but the {K-Diamonds} river filled Leow's straight draw and he forced a new bullet from Chio.

Lamb Bluffs Out Chidwick

Level 1 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

While the English stream is currently down, the Chinese stream for this event is up and running. In one of the early hands from the tournament, action limped around five ways and Peter Jetten checked his option on the button.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and action checked to Stephen Chidwick who put out a bet of 3,000. Ben Lamb was the only caller and everyone else folded.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and this time Lamb led out with a bet of 12,000. Chidwick called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Lamb led out again, this time firing a huge bet of 55,000. Chidwick tanked for a while then after some time, he folded.

From the stream, Chidwick was holding {8-Spades}{6-Clubs} for the bottom full house and Lamb was bluffing with {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush blocker. That would earn him the pot pushing him to nearly 160,000 early here on Day 1b.
