Antonius Takes One After Three-Betting Light

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

David Peters open-raised to 9,000 in the cutoff and Patrik Antonius three-bet to 36,000 out of the small blind. Peters called and the flop came down {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Antonius bet 30,000 and Peters called again. They checked the rest of the board as it ran out {2-Clubs} and {K-Spades}. Antonius opened his {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and he claimed the pot when Peters mucked his hand.

Patgorski Fades Half the Deck to Double through Tan

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Xuan Tan
Xuan Tan

Xuan Tan raised under the gun to 10,000 with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and action folded to the button where Gabe Patgorski called with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind with {A-Spades}{2-Spades} and the three took the flop.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and action checked to Tan who put out a bet of 20,000. Patgorski called while Chidwick folded.

The turn was the {J-Spades}, giving Patgorski two pair. Tan decided to check and Patgorski fired a bet of 31,000. Tan tanked for a bit before moving all in with a covering stack.

“Did you go all in?” Patgorski asked before quickly calling.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Patgorski faded all of Tan’s out in order to seal his double up.

Yu and Cao Go To Raising War; O'Dwyer Busts

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

We arrived when there was 29,000 in front of Rui Cao who, presumably, three-bet in the cutoff. The action was back on him after Winfred Yu made it 100,000 and Cao fought back, making it 229,000. Yu burned a timebank and then announced that he was all in. Cao folded within a few seconds.

Shortly after that, Steve O'Dwyer left the neighboring table and it looked that he fell to Mikita Badziakouski who vaulted over 900,000 in chips.

Leow Finishes Off Another Bullet

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 9,000 with {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and action folded around

Ivan Leow moved all in for 22,500 and he was called by Jason Koon in the big blind.

Ivan Leow: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Jason Koon: {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and that would spell the end for Leow who failed to catch up.

“See you in a minute,” Leow said who quickly headed to re-enter the tournament.

Choi Doubles Through Kenney

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer opened with a raise to 9,000 from early position and Stanley Choi moved all in over the top for 60,500. Action folded to Bryn Kenney on the button and he called. Everyone else folded.

Stanley Choi: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Bryn Kenney: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

"Thank you!" Choi said. "That's the best card I can hope for."

The board ran out {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and that secure the double for Choi who moved back over 100,000 while Kenney was left with about 215,000 chips.

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ivan Leow opened with {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to 9,000 and Philipp Gruissem three-bet to 35,000 with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Leow called.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Gruissem checked. Leow put out a bet of 25,000 which Gruissem just called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Gruissem checked again. Leow checked it back.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Gruissem moved all in for 85,000. Leow thought for a while then eventually decided to call. Gruissem would double up with his set and move over 200,000 once again.

Peters Gets It on the Turn

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

David Peters raised under the gun and the action folded to big blind Chan Wai Leong who reraised to 34,000. Peters called and the dealer turned up a flop of {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Chan bet 35,000 and Peters called again.

The {Q-Diamonds} turn filled the draws and Chan slowed down with a check. Peters took the betting lead, firing 60,000 and Chan decided to wave the white flag.

Alvarado Busts to Yu in a Cooler Situation

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

While the action of the hand is unknown, JC Alvarado was all in preflop for roughly 150,000 holding {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Winfred Yu had him covered and was holding {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{X-} and Alvarado didn't catch up, meaning that he would be sent to the rail and Yu would scoop the pot to move over 400,000 chips.

Greenwood Makes a Savage Bluff at the End of the Level

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} turn, Sam Greenwood fired 35,000 into 35,500 from under the gun, holding {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. James Chen called with {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in the cutoff and the {Q-Hearts} river held his hand ahead.

Greenwood, however, wasn't willing to give up and blasted another shell of 70,000. Chen paused for a moment but he wasn't able to pull the call and let Greenwood get away with his bluff.

The players went on a short break thereafter.
