Aido Fires an Overbet

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With around 50,000 in the middle on the board reading {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, big blind Luc Greenwood checked to Sergio Aido who used a time extension before making his move. Then he slid forward a huge bet of 80,000. Greenwood couldn't pay the overbet and Aido raked in the pot without showing his hole cards.

Kenney Doesn't Believe O'Dwyer

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Bryn Kenney completed with {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Steve O'Dwyer raised the price to 16,000 with {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Kenney called and then they checked it to the {5-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} turn where Kenney led out 9,000. O'Dwyer called and filled his open-ender when the {9-Diamonds} river arrived. Kenney checked, O'Dwyer fired 33,000 and Kenney paused for a moment. Then he went for a bluff-catch but O'Dwyer showed him the goods and vaulted over 500,000 in chips.

Aido Displeased With Fourth Spade

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Luc Greenwood completed in the small blind and Sergio Aido checked his options. Greenwood bet 10,000 when the {10-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop rolled out and Aido raised to 36,000. Greenwood called and the {7-Spades} hit the felt. Greenwood check-called another 22,000 and the dealer turned up the {9-Spades} river.

Greenwood led out 50,000 and Aido expressed disappointment. He studied the board for a while, burned one time extension and then let his hand go.

O'Dwyer Gets There to Eliminate Ying

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

David Peters opened to 11,000 with {9-Spades}{5-Spades} from under the gun. Steve O’Dwyer called in the small blind with {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Ying Jinghui was in the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and he moved all in for 101,500. Peters folded but O'Dwyer tanked through a couple of time banks before making the decision to call.

The flop was big for O'Dwyer when it came {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, giving him two pair but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn gave Ying tons of outs. The {3-Spades} on the river was not one of them so Jinghui was eliminated in 8th place, bringing players down to the unofficial final table of 7 players.
