Day 2 of the HK$500,000 Six-Max Event Kicks off at 2 PM with Sam Greenwood Leading

Luc and Sam Greenwood are both in action on Day 2
Luc and Sam Greenwood are both in action on Day 2

It wasn't until one of the last hands of Day 1 that Sam Greenwood snatched the lead in the HK$500,000 Six-Max event, but now he leads a field of 14 returning players heading into the final day of play with 191,700. Trailing behind him as well is his brother, Luc Greenwood who also bagged 65,400 chips on Day 1. It'll surely be an interesting day for the brothers who spent a majority of Day 1 seated right next to each other.

Other's making their way back for Day 2 include a list of some of the games current top pros, such as David Peters (145,500), Stephen Chidwick (111,700), Mikita Badziakouski (110,500) and Steve O'Dwyer (100,900), as well as the resurgence of some of the games old guard, such as Phil Ivey (67,400), John Juanda (34,600), and Patrik Antonius, (67,900) who will return as well. Registration for the event is open for another two levels so we're likely to see even more notables join the event as well.

Play starts back up in level ten with blinds of 800/1,600 and an ante paid from the big blind of 1,600 as well. Players are playing with a shot clock for this event and have a 30 second time bank on every hand, with limited time bank extensions if they need them. The plan for the day is to play down to a winner today and a prizepool will be announced when registration is closed.

PokerNews will be here with coverage beginning at 2 p.m. with a short delay to match up with the streamed coverage. Make sure to stay tuned in so you don't miss a thing.
