Leow Jams on Tang

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Devan Tang limped in the second position and Jason Koon followed suit before Ivan Leow pumped the price to 80,000 in the hijack. Tang responded with a three-bet to 280,000, getting rid of Koon. Leow checked Tang's stack and called.

The dealer rolled out a {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop and Tang checked. Leow paused and then announced he was all in. Tang peeled his cards again and then sent them to the muck, leaving Leow with the pot.

Dwan Just Calls With His Full House

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Alan Sass limped in under the gun with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Tom Dwan called as well with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Chan Wai Leong checked his option on the button with {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The flop cme down {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Sass led out with a bet of 32,000. Dwan called while Chan folded.

On the {K-Spades} turn both players checked. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and this time, Sass put out a bet of 84,000. Dwan tanked for a good while before deciding to just call and he would take down the pot with his full house.

"Well, I guess my read was right," Dwan said about his call on the river, implying he thought Sass had a full house as well.

Leow Snap-Folds on the River

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Ivan Leow and Romain Arnaud limped and Rui Cao raised to 88,000 on the button. Both Leow and Arnaud peeled the flop and the {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts} brought no bets. Leow led out 175,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn, forcing a fold from Arnaud but Cao wanted to see the river.

The {9-Spades} landed on the felt and Leow paused before checking. Cao reached to his stack and fired what looked like 350,000. Leow folded his hand in the blink of an eye and Cao moved to around 2.3 million, good for the overall chip lead.

Sass Rivers a Flush

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Chan Wai Leong led out 40,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop in what started as a four-way limped pot. Only Alan Sass called the bet in position and Sass called another 80,000 on the {7-Clubs} turn.

The river came {10-Diamonds} and Chan, who had {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}, slowed down, checking. Sass made a flush with {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and sized the showdown at 180,000. Chan, however, managed to avoid further damage as he laid his hand down.

Cao Calls the River Card

Level 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

From the cutoff, Peter Jetten was at risk, facing off against his left-hand opponent Rui Cao in a preflop contest.

Jetten: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Cao: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Jetten's hand was dominated but the {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop shifted the odds in Jetten's favor. The {J-Spades} turn gave both players a gutshot and Cao shouted: "Ten!"

The river was indeed the {10-Clubs} and they chopped the pot.

Ivey Hits the Rail After an Unlucky Flop

Level 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Alan Sass limped in early position with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Tom Dwan called with {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Ivey called with {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Ben Lamb checked his option with {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The flop was {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} giving straights to both Ivey and Lamb, but Ivey was left in big trouble as he couldn't catch a queen for a chop even. Action checked to Lamb who put out a bet of 25,000. Alan Sass moved all in for 467,000, then Ivey moved all in over the top and Ben Lamb called as well, putting both players at rick.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and that didn’t change anything, but the river was the {10-Spades}, giving Sass a chop, allowing him to stay alive. Meanwhile, Phil Ivey was eliminated with his worse straight.
