Koon Takes From Smirnov

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski has been hand-cuffed by the action on the outer table and only hand he limp-raised big, he showed the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. It was still all about Jason Koon, though, and the American raised to 160,000 after a Mikhail Smirnov limp. Smirnov called once more.

After the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} turn, Smirnov bet 250,000 and Koon called. The {6-Clubs} river paired the board and Smirnov slowed down, he checked. Koon bet 550,000 and Smirnov reluctantly folded, flashed the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. "Lucky card, for you," Koon said and Smirnov replied with a "lucky turn for you."

Koon Remains Active on Outer Table

Level 11 : 0/0, 12,000 ante

The action on the outer table has cooled down somewhat and Jason Koon's attempt to take over control has resulted in a few swings to his stack. Mikhail Smirnov claimed a pot against him with {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a straight, then Koon took back some of the chips when betting a four-way flop of {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} first to act for 50,000.

Sass Loses an All In

Level 11 : 0/0, 12,000 ante

Even the commentators were surprised when Alan Sass suddenly lost an all in over on the feature table. Furkat Rakhimov had pushed and Sass moved all in over the top for nearly 3 million to isolate successfully.

Furkat Rakhimov: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Alan Sass: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Sass flopped best on {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but Rakhimov regained the lead on the {K-Diamonds} turn. A blank {A-Hearts} river secured the double up for the Russian, who closed the gap to Sass in the chip counts.
