Leong Leads The Pack

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante
Chan Wai Leong
Chan Wai Leong

Chan Wai Leong has two bullets remaining and already tripled up the full starting stack after sending Qiang Wang to the rail. The latter had been all in with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Leong looked him up with the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The board came {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and the jack on the turn was no good anymore for Wang, as the ace on the river gave Leung the better hand.

Yu Triples With Aces

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante
Winfred Yu
Winfred Yu

Richard Yong and Winfred Yu were spotted standing up from their seats while the cards were about to be turned over on yet another crazy three-way all in. Yu was the player at immediate risk for his last 66,000 and had the best of it with the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. Yong had him covered by some and showed the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}, while Kaplan turned over the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Yu tripled up with a straight, as per Short Deck rule the aces also plays as a five. Yong's two pair left him with a double up through Kaplan for 42,000 while Kaplan took a hit to his early big stack.

Three-Way All In Sends Teng to the Rail

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante
Cheok Leng Cheong
Cheok Leng Cheong

Cheong Cheok Leng and Peter Jetten got their stacks in preflop and both were covered by Paul Phua in a frantic period at the outer tables.

Peter Jetten: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Cheong Cheok Leng: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Paul Phua: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Clubs} left both short stacks drawing dead on the turn, and Jetten headed to the registration desk. Mikhail Smirnov had already been there, making it two players to re-enter mid-way through level three.

Xuan Busts One Bullet to Arnaud

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Tan Xuan got his first of three bullets in with the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for top set and he was called by Romain Arnaud with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Both the {8-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river were blanks and Xuan left the table for a short moment, then returned to redeem his second bullet.

Over on the feature table, Mikhail Smirnov has become the first player to bust after sending the remainder of his stack over to Devan Tang. Prior to that, Rui Cao had more than doubled up through him and not sits above the starting stack, and Phil Ivey used all three of his bullets to top up the stack.

Smirnov is expected to join the action again shortly.

Jetten's Set No Good

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Peter Jetten has to use his final bullet on the first entry after a three-way all in took place on the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Marius Torbergsen: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Peter Jetten: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Romain Arnaud: {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"Pair the board," Jetten demanded, but the {A-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river were both blanks. Jetten was left empty-handed and used the third and final bullet on the first attempt.

Table Move Good For Kaplan

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

The field has increased to 15 players on two tables with Cheong Cheok Leng and Jamie Kaplan being moved to balance the second table. The pair are joining new arrivals Peter Jetten, Marius Torbergsen, Lim Chin 'Webster' Wei and Romain Arnaud.

The first hand we caught on the second table was a doozy as well, and it all started with a Kaplin early position limp. Lim and Arnaud all limped before Cheong Cheok Leng pumped it up to 16,000 which was the spark needed to set up an explosion of action.

Peter Jetten jammed from the cutoff for close to 175,000, Kaplan re-shoved and Leng came along for the ride for a three-way all-in.

Jamie Kaplan: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Cheong Cheok Leng: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Peter Jetten: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

While Kaplan said he liked Leng's suited queen-jack more, the board ran out a very aces friendly {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} that saw Kaplan scoop the monster pot to climb to close to 600,000, Leng come in for his third 100k bullet of his initial buy-in and Jetten come in for his second.

Jetten Takes from Leng

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs} turn, Cheong Cheok Leng bet 10,000 and was called by Peter Jetten from one seat over on the outer table. The {K-Diamonds} river completed the board and Leng checked. Jetten made it 16,000 to go and was called to roll over the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a flopped full house in order to rake in the pot.
