Second Day of Triton Million - A Helping Hand for Charity Kicks Off at 1PM

Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

The biggest buy-in in history saw 54 players take part in battling it out for their chance at the lions share of the massive prize pool worth £19,000,000 ($23,008,095) in the Triton Million - A Helping Hand for Charity. A third of the field was eliminated by the end of the first night, bringing the number of Day 2 starters down to just 36, with businessmen Bill Perkins Leading the way.

Four pros, Timothy Adams, Dan Smith, Rui Cao, and Nick Petrangelo round out the top five heading into the start of the second day. All have had a great history in Triton events, especially Adams who just took down the HK$2,000,000 Main Event in Jeju this past March for the biggest cash of his career.

Just three recreational players besides Perkins sit among the top ten, Aaron Zang, Chin Wei Lim, and Hing Yang Chow all had better than average days and are looking in prime position to record a cash here in the London.

Dan Smith raised to 55,000 with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} from the under the gun before Sosia Jiang three-bet to 130,000 from the cutoff with {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

Smith called, and the {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop fell. Smith checked again, and Jiang continued for 250,000 which caused Smith to move all in and received the call from Jiang for her final 665,000.

The {4-Hearts} turn immediately sealed the pot in Smith's favor, and Jiang said her goodbyes to the table before the insignificant {q-Diamonds} hit the river.

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel moved all in for his remaining 255,000 from the button and Alfred DeCarolis hooked him up from the big blind, players turned over their hands.

Martin Kabrhel: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Alfred DeCarolis: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The dealer fanned out {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on the flop which looked pretty but changed nothing between the two. A {6-Spades} turn card gave Kabrhel some straight outs but the {2-Diamonds} was a brick and DeCarolis took down the pot with his king-high, eliminating another player from the tournament.

Vivek Rajkumar raised to 70,000 from the button with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Ivan Leow three-bet to 185,000 from the small blind holding {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Rajkumar called, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Leow bet 190,000 and Rajkumar called.

The {k-Hearts} hit the river, and Leow's all in for 215,000 was snap-called by Rajkumar.

Leow saw his two pair was no good against Rajkumar's higher two pair holding pocket aces, and Leow departed in brutal circumstances.

Yong Eliminated by Chidwick

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Rob Yong
Rob Yong

Stephen Chidwick raised to 60,000 from the hijack and the action folded to Rob Yong in the big blind.

"He hasn't got a hand," joked Yong.

"Do you want an all-in?" he added before Chidwick smiled and Yong called the raise - sat with a stack just over twenty big blinds.

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and Yong check-raised a 40,000 continuation bet by Chidwick to 125,000.

Chidwick thought for 15 seconds before he made it 290,000 and Yong moved all in for around 600,000 total, which Chidwick snap-called.

Yong flipped over {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for top pair, but was behind to Chidwick's {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} set.

Yong was in real danger of elimination but was given some hope when the {2-Spades} hit the turn.

However, the {10-Spades} river card was no use to the Dusk Till Dawn owner, and the partypoker partner departed shortly before the first break of the day.

Rui Cao

Rui Cao moved his remaining 270,000 all in from under the gun, Dan Smith took a peek at his cards and instantly called, players tabled their hands with Cao at risk.

Rui Cao: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Smith was still ahead with his ace. An {8-Diamonds} peeled on the turn and Cao needed to hit or his day would be done. The {5-Hearts} river did not improve Cao's hand and he was eliminated by the likes of Smith who is now back over the five million mark.

Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised to 90,000 from under the gun holding {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Aaron Zang called from the next seat with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Chin Wei Lim was next to act and folded {a-}{q-} before Bill Perkins called on the button holding {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Tong G looked down at {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} in the big blind and called before the flop fell {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Zang bet 150,000 after the action checked to him, and only Tang called.

The {a-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Tang checked again. Zang thought before he fired 290,000 and Tang moved all in for 1,755,000. Zang snap-called and Tang saw the bad news.

Tang stood from his seat in shock, and when the {2-Diamonds} hit the river, he was eliminated,
