DeCarolis Steamrolling, Eliminates Xuan

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Xuan Tan
Xuan Tan

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and there was around 210,000 in the pot. Alfred DeCarolis pushed in a bet of 145,000 and Tan Xuan moved all in for 335,000. DeCarolis called and the two tabled their cards, with Xuan at risk.

Tan Xuan: {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Alfred DeCarolis: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

An {a-Clubs} immediately fell on the turn and Xuan was now drawing dead to the {5-Diamonds} river card. DeCarolis scooped in yet another pot early on in the day and sent yet another player home in the process.

Short Stack Cao Twice Survives

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rui Cao was all in for just over one big blind and up against Christoph Vogelsang.

Rui Cao: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Christoph Vogelsang: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Board: {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Cao hit a set on the turn to win the pot, and just a few hands later he was all in again, this time for around 90,000 from the cutoff.

Nick Petrangelo made it 175,000 to go from the button which was enough for the players in the blinds to fold, and Cao was once again in a flip for his tournament life.

Cao tabled {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and Petrangelo held {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, but the {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} fell in Cao's favor, and he secured yet another lifeline.

Cao Eliminated by Smith

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Rui Cao
Rui Cao

Rui Cao moved his remaining 270,000 all in from under the gun, Dan Smith took a peek at his cards and instantly called, players tabled their hands with Cao at risk.

Rui Cao: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Smith was still ahead with his ace. An {8-Diamonds} peeled on the turn and Cao needed to hit or his day would be done. The {5-Hearts} river did not improve Cao's hand and he was eliminated by the likes of Smith who is now back over the five million mark.

Tang Departs in Set-Over-Set

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised to 90,000 from under the gun holding {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Aaron Zang called from the next seat with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Chin Wei Lim was next to act and folded {a-}{q-} before Bill Perkins called on the button holding {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Tong G looked down at {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} in the big blind and called before the flop fell {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Zang bet 150,000 after the action checked to him, and only Tang called.

The {a-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Tang checked again. Zang thought before he fired 290,000 and Tang moved all in for 1,755,000. Zang snap-called and Tang saw the bad news.

Tang stood from his seat in shock, and when the {2-Diamonds} hit the river, he was eliminated,
