First Triton ONE Main Event Champion Will Be Crowned Today

The first Triton ONE Main Event champion will be crowned today in Landing Casino on South Korea's Jeju island as 16 players return today in the $8,000 buy-in event to fight for that recognition.

Day 3 of the Triton ONE Main event kicks off at noon local time in real time, while updates and livestream action will begin at approximately 1:05 p.m.

The favorites in terms of chip counts are Russia's Sergei Petrushevskii, Austria's Joshua Gebissa and two Chinese nationals in Ruogo Wen and Yuefeng Pan, who bagged the Day 2 chip lead with a stack of 33,900,000.

There are a few high-stakes regulars still in contention, including Russian super-crusher Artur Martirosian, Ukraine's Igor Yaroshevskyy and Thailand's Punnat Punsri. Meanwhile, Asia's Ming Juen Teoh, Takashi Yagura, Hongjun Zhao, Kaoru Kishimoto and Chao Li are all looking to make names for themselves, as well as Britain's Michael Zhang.

Each returning player is guaranteed at least $60,400 with a pay jump to $68,100 looming. A spot at the final table will be worth at least $101,700, while more than ten times that, $1,367,000, awaits the champion.
