Day 2 of Inaugural Triton ONE $8,000 Main Event Kicks Off At Noon
The first ever edition of the brand new mid-stakes poker tour Triton ONE has seen poker enthusiasts from all over the world come out in droves to the lavish Landing Casino inside of the five-star Jeju Shinhwa World complex and two of the marquee events produced stunning attendance figures. In the opening $3,000 QQPK Genesis, a total of 1,185 entries emerged and the flagship 2025 Triton ONE Jeju $8,000 Main Event saw 1,046 entries generated across two starting flights in the last two days.
With 15 levels each completed on the respective Day 1s, that figure has been cut down to only 218 survivors, all in the hopes of securing a slice of the massive $7,607,558 prize pool. The money bubble will be in sight with some 20 percent of the field still in the mix and the cards for the penultimate tournament day will be back in the air at noon local time. As of then, the level duration increases to 60 minutes each to give all contenders more wiggle room en route to make history on Jeju Island in South Korea.
Leading the way with a staggering 133 big blinds is Taiwan's Chih-Yuan Wang who returns at the top of the leaderboard with 5,305,000 in chips. Only one other player has more than 100 big blinds at their disposal when the action resumes and that is Konstantin Voronin, who went through the previous two tournament days like a wrecking ball. Voronin ultimately bagged up 4,725,000 in chips and China's Shaoshuai Li occupies the final spot on the podium with 3,835,000.
