LIVE NOW: Foxen Leads Final Day Pack of $50K NLH 8-Handed
The final day of the $50K NLH 8-Handed event at Triton Montenegro is now underway, with 27 players returning to battle for the $1,535,000 top prize.
The tournament drew 132 entries to create a $6.6 million prize pool, but with only 23 spots paid, the opening stages of play could be cautious as players look to avoid falling just short of the money. A min-cash is worth $77,000, while everyone still in contention has their eyes fixed on the seven-figure first prize.
A Canadian one-two leads the way into the final day, with Kristen Foxen bagging the chip lead ahead of fellow high roller Dan Dvoress. Triton’s all-time title leader and PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon sits close behind in third as he hunts another deep run on the tour.
Also still in contention are Daniel Rezaei, Alisson Piekazewicz, Christopher Nguyen, Paulius Vaitiekunas, Javid Ismayilov, Joao Simao, and Alexandre Reard, with the top ten all separated by fewer than 35 big blinds.
Fans can follow the action live on Triton Poker’s YouTube channel as the field races toward the money and the first Triton title of the Montenegro stop.
