Coolers Set Up the Stone Bubble in the $50K
Yu Zhang, Mikita Badziakouski, and Artur Martirosian were the first three players eliminated on the final day of the $50K NLH 8-Handed, leaving the tournament on the stone bubble.
Zhang was first to fall after his pocket fours couldn’t hold against Christopher Nguyen’s jack-seven, while Badziakouski and Martirosian both exited in brutal cooler spots shortly after.
Badziakouski ran ace-king suited into the pocket kings of Selahaddin Bedir, and moments later Martirosian’s queens were dominated by the pocket kings of Javid Ismayilov.
With 24 players remaining and 23 paid, David D’Alessandro, Nick Petrangelo, Ramin Hajiyev, and Mehdi Chaoui are among the shortest stacks, all sitting on fewer than ten big blinds.
