It's Time! For the Main Event of Triton Montenegro
The spotlight shifts to the marquee No-Limit Hold’em event of the 2026 Triton Poker Series Montenegro today as the $100K NLH Main Event gets underway at 3 p.m. local time inside Maestral Resort & Casino.
As always, the Triton Main Event is expected to attract another elite field packed with poker's biggest names, with players battling through ten 50-minute levels on Day 1.
Defending champion Jesse Lonis is back in Montenegro looking to repeat last year's success, although the American may have more immediate concerns when cards go in the air. Lonis returns for the final day of the $50K NLH 7-Handed sitting second in chips and will be chasing another seven-figure score before turning his full attention toward the Main Event title defence.
Lonis captured the trophy in Montenegro last year after defeating Mikalai Vaskaboinikau heads-up following a deal between the final two players. The victory added another signature Triton title to Lonis' growing résumé and denied Vaskaboinikau back-to-back Montenegro championships at Maestral Resort & Casino.
The final table also featured several familiar Triton regulars, including Kiat Lee, Christoph Vogelsang, and Stephen Chidwick, while Fedor Holz and Artur Martirosian rounded out a stacked final nine.
