Mekan Yusupov was already knocking on the seven-figure door with 990,000 when he found himself holding pocket kings in the big blind. Action folded to Jingxuan Zhu in the small blind, who limped, then Yusupov raised to 15,000 (2.5 times the big blind). Zhu shoved for 164,000 total, and Yusupov called, showing his kings. Zhu held A♥10♦ and was at risk.
The board ran out 3♣Q♣2♥4♠10♣, but it wasn't enough to save Zhu, who was eliminated. That pot pushed Yusupov's stack up to 1.2 million, making him the first player in Flight 1B to hold a seven-figure stack.
The 66 players remaining in 1B are approaching their second break at the end of Level 8 (4,000/8,000/8,000). Recent bust-outs include Sergei Petrushevskii, Paul Esau, Natalia Karpova, Rafael Navas Robles, Mantas Bagocius, Viacheslav Kardash, Thor Boedefeld, and Martynas Vitkauskas.
