Action folded to Artur Martirosian on the button, and he raised to 50,000. Yuejun Zhao, in the big blind for 25,000, was his only caller.
On the flop of 3♠4♣7♣, Zhao checked, Martirosian bet 45,000, and Zhao called. On the 9♦ turn, Zhao took the lead for 75,000, Martirosian moved in for 440,000 total, and Zhao called, building a pot of 1.1 million.
Zhao revealed 6♠5♣ for the flopped straight. Martirosian was at risk and behind after being out-flopped, holding J♠10♣ for nothing but a gutshot straight draw, needing an eight on the river — and that's just what he got. The 8♠ completed the board, giving him the higher straight and the pot.
Zhao was left with only 45,000, less than two big blinds, and was eliminated on the next hand.
Sixty players remain in Flight 1A, and they will play until only 38 of the 239 entries remain.
