Big Stacks Tangle

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Daniel Stacy opened for 4,000 and was called by the player sat to his left, Tomasz Chmiel from Poland, both sitting fairly deep. The blinds folded and they saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Stacy checked and called a bet of 5,600 from Chmeil. The turn card was {j-Clubs} and this time Stacy check, called a 14,200 bet. The river was the scary {a-Diamonds} and Stacy led for 25,000. He got a fold from Chmiel to win a decent pot.

Farrell Down to Fumes

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Mickey Petersen opened for 4,000 and Niall Farrell raised him to 9,500 after checking his stack. It was pretty close to his. The blinds folded and Petersen thought before four betting to 22,100. “All in.” Said Farrell and got the call. Farrell was flipping again. The flop came {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. “I’ll take a chop.” said Farrell and saw the turn {4-Hearts} river {j-Hearts} bring no joy to cripple him. A rueful Farrell commented, “Bye bye chips, it was fun for a while.”

Grafton Making the Hood Moves

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sam Grafton, doing things the hood way.
Sam Grafton, doing things the hood way.

The board read {9-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Sam Grafton's {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was proudly on display while Ben Mayhew's {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} was being sent into the muck.

"I limped pre," said Grafton, "It's a hood move."

Apparently all the money had gone in on the flop and Mayhew was left with about 7,000 remaining. That went in the next hand with {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} but ran into {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} on a {Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board.

Unbarrable

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Peter Barrable
Peter Barrable

Peter Barrable's fairy tale is over. He lost a big flip with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} to Jonathan Barr's {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on a {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades} board, then his last remaining chips went in with {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} but couldn't beat {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on a {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} board.

Straghalis Loses a Flip

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Chris Straghalis, Rational Group Staff, opened for 4,000 and faced an all-in from Owen Fenwick for around 40,000. Straghalis mulled it over. He could afford it with his stack but didn’t want to give any away needlessly. He called and Fenwick turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Good call from Straghalis who tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. On the flop though Fenwick took the lead as the cards fell {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts} and there would be no help for Straghalis as the turn {8-Hearts} river {10-Diamonds} saw the pot pushed to Fenwick who doubled up.

Cold Four-Bet Bluff

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Sam Grafton raised and was three bet by Fabio Esposito. Benjamin Mayhew moved all-in from the blinds and when Grafton folded Esposito didn’t look like he was a believer. In the end he just couldn’t make the call and let it go. Mayhew held his cards above the table and mused, “Will I show?” He decided he would and flipped over {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to Esposito’s bemusement, claiming he had folded {A-}{8-}.

Razavi Wins Ridiculous Pot

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sam Razavi
Sam Razavi

A huge amount of noise just came from the far end of the room after a monster pot.

Sam Razavi: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Dominik Nitsche: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Martin Hanitz: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The flop came {6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Hanitz stayed ahead but the {K-Hearts} on the turn gave Nitsche the lead; however, Razavi almost fell out of his chair on the {10-Spades} river when he made a straight and eliminated both the other players as a result.

Poker. It's all a bit silly.

Recent Eliminations

Sinned Against

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sinem Melin
Sinem Melin

The hijack had opened to 3,200 preflop with Full Tilt Poker Tour Ambassador Martins Adeniya calling on the button. Fellow Ambassador Sin Melin moved all in for her last few thousand chips from the small blind having been crippled previously.

Harry Lodge then reraised all in for about 35,000 in the big blind, the hijack and Adeniya both then folded.

"I haven't looked," confessed Melin, before turning over {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Lodge showed {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Melin was eliminated.

Got the Hump

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Game over for Gregory Humphries, he was all in blind on blind against Matthew Mckenzie but the latter's {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} triumphed over Humphries' {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} on a {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board to leave only one man standing.
