Hayes Walks Into a Boat

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Paren Arzoomanian opened to 40,000 from middle position and Elliott Hayes two positions down called from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and the two of 'em went heads up to the flop.

Arzoomanian fired 65,000 on the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, 130,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn, and 250,000 on the {A-Clubs} river.

Elliott Hayes called all three streets rather quickly, only to muck upon seeing Arzoomanian's {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

"Unlucky mate, got the ace I assume?" Arzoomanian said. "Yep" Haye replied.

Elliott Hayes opened for 50,000 under the gun plus one and action folded to Michael Fletcher on the button. He three bet to 120,000 and both blinds quickly released. Hayes asked how much it was, and just about instantly called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Hayes knocked on the table. His check made Fletcher bet 150,000 and Hayes wasted not much time shoving all in for 574,000 total. Fletcher snap called.

Elliott Hayes: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Michael Fletcher: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Both the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Diamonds} on the river were blanks, and Hayes shook hands with the tournament director and was escorted to the pay out desk.

"Good call" Arzoomanian commented. "I knew what he was going to do, [that's why] I snap called"Fletcher replied.

The remaining 7 players are guaranteed £4,500 from here on out.

James Walsh

Following Elliott Hayes' bust out, James Walsh wasted no time to get his chips in the middle. Action folded to him on the button and he put his 84,000 stack to work; all in!

Paren Arzoomanian in the small blind glanced over to Christopher Swinden's stack in the big blind, and then flat called. Swinden rolled his eyes a bit, and folded.

James Walsh: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Paren Arzoomanian: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Arzoomanian wished his neighbor good luck, but it wouldn't help. The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Walsh hit the rail in 7th place. He's taking home £4,500, the remaining 6 players are guaranteed £6,120.
