Arzoomanian Running Over the Table

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Paren Arzoomanian
Paren Arzoomanian

Paren Arzoomanian raised to 50,000 from middle position and Daniel Stacey three bet on the button to 128,000. Both blinds folded and the decision was back on Arzoomanian. He four bet to 250,000 and Stacey quickly released.

Not much later Michael Fletcher raised from the small blind to 62,000. Paren Arzoomanian in the big blind called and the flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Fletcher continued for 80,000 and Arzoomanian raised to 180,000 soon enough. Fletcher three bet to 380,000 and Arzoomanian studied how much his opponent had behind. Upon discovering it was around 1.3 million, he announced all in.

"Flush draw?" Fletcher asked after about a minute of tanking. "I just think you were caught with your hand in the cookie jar" Arzoomanian replied with a big smile. "There's a lot of money in the middle" he continued in between smoking his electric sigaret.

Eventually Fletcher folded. The next hand Fletcher raised from the button, but folded to Swinden's stop and go on a flop of {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

"If you had kings, it was a good lay down" Arzoomanian smiled, referring to the hand before. "You had a set?" John Lawson asked. "I'm not saying any more" Arzoomanian replied, still with a big smile on his face and almost 4 million in front of him.

Arzoomanian Continues to Climb

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Everyone folded around to Michael Fletcher in the small blind and he reached for chips and raised to 62,000.

"162" said Paren Arzoomanian before three-betting to 162,000. Fletcher called prompting Arzoomanian to query, "are we doing this again?"

The flop fell {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Fletcher checked. Arzoomanian kept up his role of aggressor and made a continuation bet of 150,000. It was enough to get the job done because Fletcher released his hand and the Arzoomanian bulldozer keeps on going.

Swinden Gets Bluffed

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Fletcher opened the button for 50,000 and Christopher Swinden called from the big blind.

Swinden check called a bet of 50,000 on {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and check called another 75,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn. The river was the {9-Clubs} and with just 288,000 behind, Swinden checked. Fletcher moved him all in in a heart beat, and Swinden folded.

Fletcher showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to rub it in.

Stacey Getting the Better of Arzoomanian

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Stacey opened for 50,000 and Paren Arzoomanian on the button made the call. Lawson in the big blind called as well.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Lawson checked. Stacey bet 62,000 and just Arzoomanian called. Lawson folded. Stacey fired another 117,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn and 159,000 on the {3-Hearts} river. Arzoomanian called both streets, but mucked upon seeing Stacey's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

Not much later Arzoomanian opened for 60,000 and Stacey called from the small blind. Stacey check called 75,000 on {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and check called another 120,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn. The river came the {Q-Diamonds} and Stacey lead out for 225,000.

"Count please" Arzoomanian requested. "Did you call me down with king queen and catch a queen on the river?" he asked, knowing very well he wouldn't get an honest answer. Stacey kept his mouth shut and eventually Arzoomanian called.

Stacey showed {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the rivered straight, and all Arzoomanian could say was "Nice hand" as he mucked.

Nuts

Paren Arzoomanian

Paren Arzoomanian and Daniel Stacey have been locking horns for the past few hands and a potentially key hand just played out.

Arzoomanian raised to 60,000 preflop and Stacey made the call. A draw heavy {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop was greeted with a check from Stacey and a bet of 75,000 from Arzoomanian. Stacey called, taking the hand to the {A-Clubs} turn.

Stacey checked again and Arzoomanian kept his foot firmly on the gas, setting the price to see the river at 125,000. Stacey wasted no time in calling and the dealer placed the {J-Diamonds} onto the river where Stacey led for 182,000.

"You like this check-call, check-call, lead on the river, don't you?" said Arzoomanian, but Stacey didn't reply. Arzoomanian pushed stack of 25,000 chips forward that were worth 600,000 and Stacey looked him up.

"Nuts," said Arzoomanian before turning over {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nut straight, besting the {A-}{10-} of Stacey that had improved to an expensive second-best hand.

Swinden Scores a Double

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Christopher Swinden has more room to play now that he's doubled his stack to 400,000.

Swinden pushed all-in for 188,000 and John Lawson called from the sea to his immediate left. Swinden flipped over {K-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was up against Lawson's {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Lawson paired his queen on the {7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop then picked up a flush draw when the {6-Clubs} made an appearance on the turn. The river was the {10-Hearts}, keeping Swinden's hand best and he doubled to 400,000, while Lawson's stack was cut to a similar size.

Daniel Stacey: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Lawson and Stacey Attack Arzoomanian

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

He may have the biggest stack of the five remaining players but that's not stopping Paren Arzoomanian's opponents from taking him on.

In back-to-back hands, Arzoomanian opened to 60,000 and then folded to an all-in bet of 380,000 from John Lawson, then the following hand saw Arzoomanian raise to 60,000 and duck out of the way when Daniel Stacey three-bet to 157,000.
