Boulton Cannot Bluff Arthur

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

With some 12,000 in the middle to the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} river, Karen Arthur checked her option out of the blinds. Joshua Boulton made it 12,500 to go for essentially the size of the pot and more than half of his remaining stack. Arthur mulled over her decision for a short while only and then called.

Boulton tabled the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a bluff and Arthur had that beat with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for trips aces.

Alon Wins Big Pot in Last Hand Before the Break

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante
Ido Alon
Ido Alon

With six minutes into the break already passed, some spectators gathered around the table of Ido Alon and he was still involved in the hand. Alongside Henry Wride, Alon had invested 7,200 each on the {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Diamonds} then fell on the river. Both players stared down each other and eventually checked.

Wride turned over pocket eights but Alon had the best of it with the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens, leaving his opponent with a shaking head before heading into a shortened break for the duo.

First Break of the Day

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

More than half a dozen players have been eliminated already as level two draws to an end. The clock shows 154 entries of which 144 players remain. Terry Jordon lost his chips eventually but will be back for sure.

Da-Silva Doubles Through Ene

Gabriel Ene had chipped up even further and then tangled in three-way action that also involved Chris Da-Silva and Tony Poulengeris. The latter folded to the shove by Da-Silva on the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} river while Ene called. Da-Silva tabled the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nuts to secure the double, as Ene's cards were mucked but briefly revealed to be the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the top pair.

Poulengeris mentioned in table chat that he had two pair with king-queen.

Jordon Loses a Bunch of Chips

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Terry Jordon

Terry Jordon three-bet to 2,000 blind and earned two callers to get one hand through with post flop play. He then opened to 2,000 for Cedric Schwaederle and the big blind to call. On the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, Jordon bet 1,000 and the big blind called for Jordon to then check his cards for the first time. Once checked to on the {9-Spades} turn, he moved all-in to force a fold.

Soon after, the blind preflop play continued as Julien Sitbon was among those to stick around. Sitbon raised the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop to 4,000 and Jordon peeled one more card. The Frenchman asked for Jordon's stack and then bet 5,000, Jordon folded. "I like the way you play," Sitbon said in table chat and Jordon joked back "I don't".

Jordon Enters With a Special Strategy

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

"First hand is always blind," Terry Jordon announced and indeed three-bet to 2,000 without looking at his cards. The initial raiser called and they checked down the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} board. Jordon was shown the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and tabled the {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} to chop it.

"Not bad for playing blind," he joked and he made a small profit in the very first hand. Already sitting on two times the starting stack on the same table is Cedric Schwaederle, who scored an early knockout.

Ene Calls Correctly Against Arovaara

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The heads-up turn of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} brought a bet worth 6,500 by Tom Arovaara in the big blind and Gabriel Ene came along. The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Arovaara bet another 14,000. Ene went into the tank and eventually called.

"Good call," Arovaara said and mucked his cards. Ene didn't need to show but tabled his {a-Spades}{7-Spades} anyways. "I remember you from playing in the satellite, that's why I called," Ene told his opponent.

"You called with third pair? I won't bluff you if I remember it," Chris Da-Silva chimed in with a grin on the face.
