Double Up Galore in Quick Succession

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tim Slater took a flip with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} against the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} of Michael Ramiro, who flat-called on the button and the blinds folded.

The board came {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Slater was back in the mix.

Soon after, the next shove by Slater for 100,000 was looked up by Ahamed Mohamed.

Tim Slater: {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Ahamed Mohamed: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Slater came from behind once more thanks to the {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board.

Robert Boon also prevailed with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} when he flipped for his tournament life. Florian Duta came along with the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} but suffered a setback on the {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board.

Another two double ups followed before Paul Hizer was then sent to the payout desk.

Down to Seven Tables

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Gary Solomons escaped from elimination when his button shove with the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} was called by Sebastian Gohr with the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in the big blind. The {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop improved Gohr but Solomons got there on the {a-Hearts} turn, the {7-Diamonds} river was a brick.

Daniel Field then got his stack of 180,000 in from the cutoff and he was looked up by Mauricio Ferreira Pais from one seat over.

It was a big flip with the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for Field and the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} of Ferreira Pais. The {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board was the end of the road of Field and he was sent out in 58th place. Sebastian Skurzynski then followed shortly after and that reduced the field to the final 56 hopefuls.

Belvedere Bows Out Against Eminoglu

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A sort-stacked Carmine Belvedere pushed from under the gun with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Yucel Eminoglu looked him up from one seat over while all other players behind got out of the way. Eminoglu held the superior pair in {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and finished the hand with an "overkill" as he improved to a full house on the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} board.

Hecklen Sends Maini to the Rail

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Not that long ago, Vishal Maini spiked a miracle two-outer on the river to stay alive against Henrik Hecklen. As fate would have it, the very same duo clashed once more and Maini was flipping for his tournament life.

Vishal Maini: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Henrik Hecklen: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop gave Hecklen the superior pair and the {2-Hearts} turn left Maini with yet another miracle on demand. However, this time there was no escaping as the {4-Hearts} river only improved Hecklen the superior flush.

The Next Casualties Follow Right Away

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Sebastian Gohr got the last 100,000 in before the flip with the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Sorin Pruteanu had him covered, turning over the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} board brought no help to the UK resident and he was sent to the rail.

Moments later, Usman Ulhaq joined him at the payout desk after he lost the very last few chips with {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} against the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} of Alexander Zeligman. There was no miracle possible on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} turn to make the {3-Diamonds} river a formality.

Peralta Perishes; Ramiro Rises

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, the flop showed {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and that's when the chips went in between Eugenio Peralta in the small blind and Antoine Saout in the big blind.

Eugenio Peralta: {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Antoine Saout: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Saout had the best of it and also covered the running hearts as well. A blank followed with the {4-Clubs} turn and the {5-Diamonds} river ended Peralta's run.

Moments later and one table over, Michael Ramiro open-jammed for the last 109,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Kully Sidhu took the flip with the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board improved Ramiro to trips and he sat back down.

Duta Cannot be Busted for Now

Lukas Dimsa raised it up and then called the shove by Florian Duta for the last 63,000.

Florian Duta: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Lukas Dimsa: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The pocket pair remained ahead on the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board and Antoine Saout joked "just can't bust you."

Duta replied "I am definitely getting my money's worth. I won 13 flips and lost 11," the Romanian replied with a grin on the face.

Hao Misreads Hand; Gets There Anyways

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Within the span of one minute, three players were sent to the payout desk.

The first one was Paul Grummitt, who got it in for around 160,000 preflop. Dongze Hao called and was then surprised to see the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in his hand, as he misread and thought it was ace-king.

Grummitt was flipping with the {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the pair was counterfeited on the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} runout.

Min Ji followed right after when his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} flopped two pair on [AhhJd]. Naaman Morris had a gutshot and flush draw with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, which got there on the {6-Hearts} turn to then see off a blank {5-Diamonds} on the river.

While both grabbed their belongings, Ahamed Mohamed was then knocked out as well to reduce the field to the final 48 hopefuls.
