Crowds Gather for Calderone's Table Talk

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Eros Calderone
Eros Calderone

Action was on the turn on a board of K108Q and Eros Calderone made a huge shove all in for an effective size of around 100,000 when the table talk began. Coyle was the only other player in the pot and was facing a decision for his tournament life.

"What do you think I have?", asked Coyle.

"You have aces," responded Calderone. "The flop is a monster for me, I have to push."

The talk continued as spectators gathered and chuckled. "If he has aces, I can lose, said Calderone, "...maybe!"

There was much more said between the pair as Coyle struggled to make his mind up on what was clearly a tough call to make. Calderone was making a good show of it.

Eventually, Coyle showed pocket aces to Calderone as he made the fold.

"I know," said Calderone before flipping over KK for a set of kings and scooping the pot.

"You have a big story to write," joked a neutral player as Calderone continued the chatter long into the night.
