Mortelmans Doubles With Quads

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Wim Neys defended his small blind against the raise of Sebastian Mortelmans with two other players joining the action as well. Neys then bet the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop for 3,800 and Mortelmans raised to 10,000 with the Belgian asking his opponent for the stack size. The other two players had already folded and Neys then moved all in.

Mortelmans snap-called and tabled his {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for flopped quads, Neys' flush draw with {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} needed runner runner outs for a straight flush. The {8-Clubs} turn secured the double for Mortelmans and the {6-Hearts} river was already meaningless.

De Wijs Doubles; Gives Some to Neys

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

David Baltus has had a massive stack of 185,000 chips, but Niels de Wijs doubled up through him before passing a smaller portion of the profit to table neighbor Wim Neys. The double up of de Wijs happened in the same manner as the elimination of Oanh Bui, as the Dutchman told his opponent he had the nut flush.

Baltus had fired the {Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} turn for 6,000 and de Wijs called before the {8-Clubs} fell on the river. Baltus bet 11,000 and de Nijs moved all in for 38,800, saying he had the hand locked up. Baltus didn't believe him and called with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} before shaking his head when he was shown {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} by de Wijs.

"What should I say, I am a honest man," the Dutchman said. De Wijs then played a pot against Neys, folding to the third barrel worth 11,300.

Zapf Is Gone

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Manuel Zapf
Manuel Zapf

The remainder of the stack of Manuel Zapf disappeared into the very same direction as the previous big pot, to Bert Geens. Zapf was all in for nine big blinds with the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Geens looked him up with {A-}{J-}. The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} and the top pair of Geens scooped the pot after Zapf failed to hit his gutshot.

Jacobs Done and Dusted

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Frederik Jacobs had 73,000 chips in the dinner break and that is gone completely. After Tomasz Kozub had shoved into him and Jacobs folded, he got moved tables over to table one and lost a short-stack battle with his table neighbor after failing to improve with {K-}{J-} versus {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Only two minutes later the seat of Jacobs was empty.

Zapf's Bluff Goes Wrong

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Manuel Zapf raised and picked up two callers including Bert Geens from one seat over. On the flop {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{J-Spades}, Zapf continued and just Geens called to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Zapf bet 9,500 into a pot of 11,000 and was called before shoving the {6-Spades} river.

Geens snap-called with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair and Zapf's bluff with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} was caught, leaving the Austrian behind with only a small stack.

Neys Busts Wetemans

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dan Glimne also fell straight after dinner and then Edgaras Kisielius and Jasper Wetemans fell in quick succession. The latter three-bet shoved with {K-}{Q-} and initial raiser Wim Neys called with pocket eights. The pair held up in the showdown and Neys also won the next hand after to increase his stack nicely.

Kozub Shoves into Jacobs

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Tomasz Kozub squeezed to 8,000 out of the small blind and initial raiser Frederik Jacobs called to see the flop of {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. Kozub check-raised all in for 23,200 and Jacobs, who had fired a bet worth 9,500, eventually let go after some consideration. The table broke straight after and while stacking his chips, Kozub also tried to raise at the Pot-Limit Omaha tables on Unibet as well.

Wetemans Doubles Again

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With the help of the de Meulder brothers on the rail and some lady luck in the deck, Jasper Wetemans has doubled up his tiny stack once again. He was all in with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and flipped against an opponent with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to see the board run out {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and award the pot to Wetemans.

A Trio Busts After Dinner

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Three players hit the rail after coming back from dinner and among them were Markus Lehtinen and Marion Adriaans. The latter only had seven big blinds for this very level, so her exit comes as little surprise.

Sybrandi Doubles Through Mertens

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The full betting action is unknown, but somehow Hans Sybrandi ended up all in for 25,300 and Christophe Mertens went into the showdown with slightly more chips to his left. Mertens had the {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Sybrandi the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Mertens was left very short.
