Adriaans in Trouble

Level 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

One of the few remaining women in today's field, Marion Adriaans, is in desperate need of a double up. In a battle of the blinds, her table neighbor limped in for 600 and Adriaans checked her option out of the big blind. On the flop {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, the player in the small blind bet 700 and Adriaans folded.

Gabel vs de Korver

Level 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

"I think I have to call you," Pieter de Korver said after him and Vincent Gabel had shown {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} as winning hand. The {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop was checked as well and then Gabel bet the {6-Clubs} turn for 1,200 out of the small blind. De Korver called and both then checked through the {8-Spades} river.

Both players exchanged some table talk based on what happened on the feature table in the previous two hours and then moved on with the next hand, both below starting stack.

Geens gets Rivered, Mertens Shoves

Level 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

Bert Geens and Axel Bevers checked the turn {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and then Bevers bet the {4-Diamonds} river for 3,700 into a pot of 5,800. Geens called and then laughed when he was shown {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a back door straight, dropping some chips. Manuel Zapf to his left has increased his stack and the next hand featured Christophe Mertens.

The Belgian opened to 1,500 from early position and was called by the player in the cutoff. Mertens continued for 3,500 on the flop {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and then moved all in for 10,400 on the {K-Clubs} turn to enforce a fold from his opponent.

Updated Counts; de Korver Doubles

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

The "mission in the money" for Pieter de Korver at a Main Event of the Unibet Open is still on track. The Dutchman was all in short on the feature table but doubled for his last 4,000 with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} against {K-}{Q-} in a preflop showdown. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} over on the feature table.

In the break, table eight was moved back into the main area and that revealed more promising news for de Korver. Below are some further assorted chip counts.

Kahan Gets Value from Full House

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Vincentius van Oosterhout bet the three-way flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for 1,000 and David Kahan raised to 3,000, getting the third player in the hand to fold. Van Oosterhout called and then checked out of the small blind when the {Q-Hearts} fell on the turn. Kahan checked behind and then fired the {J-Hearts} river for 8,000.

Kahan's final barrel was called and the Belgian flipped over {A-Spades}{J-Spades} for a full house to increase his stack. Bert Geens also moved up on the very same table as well.

Kozub Takes from Aerts

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Alex Hendriks has dropped down further in chips while Tomasz Kozub just helped himself above starting stack. The Pole bet the river of a {5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board out of the big blind for 3,200 and Patrick Aerts called with quite some hesitation to then muck when Kozub flipped over his {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Aerts is back down to starting stack.
