Feliz Garcia had lost some of his stack against table neighbor Rolf Slotboom and Ann-Roos Callens' big stack from earlier today has also been cut into half. This still means more than 20 big blinds for this level, though.
Kyle Swan won't have to worry about these numbers anymore, as his chip count has unfortunately been reduced to zero.
Sam Polo Riva defended his big blind against the raise of Carlo Mark from under the gun. A raising war broke out of the flop and it soon became evident why the stacks went in:
Riva: for a flopped straight
Mark: for bottom set
The turn immediately shut down all hopes of Riva and a meaningless river completed the board. The dealer proceeded to count the stacks and then informed Riva that he was covered, which was quit with a "yeah I know," a sip from the drink and a long sigh.
Raoul Refos opened to 3,200 from under the gun and Aleksander Kalinowski three-bet to 8,000 from the cutoff. The action reached back to Refos and he moved all in for 29,400. Kalinowski tank-called for half his stack with and Refos held the .
The flop gave Kalinowski the lead, but the on the turn restored the preflop order. A blank river locked up the hand for the Dutchman and he doubled up.
Krisztian Arvai opened to 3,300 from the button and Mario Lepez got his last 13,300 in from one seat over, holding . Arvai called with and got there to bust his table neighbor.
On his last table, David Janssen doubled with a turned set of eights against the player in the big blind, who had flopped a set of fives. The Belgian then lost some chips and arrived at his new table with Mateusz Moolhuizen.
One of the two remaining former Unibet Open champions raised to 4,000 from under the gun and Tom Goossenaerts three-bet to 10,000 from the button. Moolhuizen four-bet to 20,000 and that shut down all further action.
One of the live stream commentators just walked by and said "tournaments are a lottery." Said lottery is over for Richard Pullen, Jerry de Vries and Lennert van Leemput, who all busted in the first few minutes of the new level.
The last two levels will see another feature table line up and that provides plenty of potential for fireworks. Included are Tim Verbon, Philip Meulyzer, Ian Simpson and Quentin Lecomte.
The remaining 86 players have been sent into a 15-minute break. Two more levels will be played and the field will be cut down even more before the time to bag and tag has come.
Jonas ten Cate flat-called a raise while sitting on the button and his opponent min-raised the flop before the duo checked down the turn. Tom Jozef Dua then bet 11,000 on the river with around 18,000 behind and ten Cate shoved to claim the pot without showdown.
