Janssen Pays Off Opponent

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

David Janssen didn't win any massive pot to build up his stack, but now he lost a middle-sized one. On the {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Spades} river with a pot of around 19,000, Ka Wing Njouw bet 10,100 from the cutoff seat with about 15,000 behind. Janssen gave it some thought and then tossed in the chips to get shown {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} as winning hand.

At the same table, Dennis Lavrijsen had been sent back down to starting stack but busted a player shortly after for less than 20 big blinds to get back some chips.

Five Finns Remain

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Anne Meri is the second Finn to hit the rail on Day 1b with five of the seven remaining. Meri was short-stacked and failed to improve with {A-}{J-} versus {A-}{Q-}, her countrymen don't have any big stacks right now either according to the Finnish blogger.

Warris Hates the Fold

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Arriving on the river of a board {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Dmytro Gukov had bet 7,500 and his table neighbor Asif Warris was not amused at all. He complained about his opponent not being able to have it all the time and then folded the {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}, almost smashing them towards the middle of the table.

Gukov replied "you made a good fold" and the next hand Warris defended his big blind against a raise by Mateusz Moolhuizen. The Dutchman fired three barrels on the board {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Warris check-folded to a bet worth 10,000 after the final community card and showed the {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}, Moolhuizen didn't feel like showing anything.

Soon after the table broke minutes before the dinner break.
