In half an hour from now at 12:00 local time, the "De Shop" in Antwerp welcomes back the 100 hopefuls out of a 321-entry strong field for Day 2 of the €1,100 Unibet Open Main Event in the "Diamond City" in Belgium. Less than one third of the field remains and as many of the participants will make the money with the top 36 spots receiving at least €2,087.
Day 1a chip leader Niko Koop maintained the top spot with his massive stack of 385,000 while 2013 Irish Open champion Ian Simpson (292,800) and 2011 Unibet Open Malta champion Mateusz Moolhuizen (274,900) complete the overnight podium. Other notables with above-average stacks include David Janssen (202,400), Morgan Wald (173,600), Matthias de Clercq (163,000), Bert Geens (150,800), Tobias Peters (147,600), Laurens de Smet (128,300) and Johan Verhagen (121,700).
