Olszowy with 10 Big Blinds

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Arkadiusz Olszowy was all in for less than five big blinds with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Philip Fjaestad made the call with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Neither clubs nor any kings showed up on a board of {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the Pole doubled up to just over 10 big blinds.

Hjelm Doubles

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Herman Hjelm had dropped all the way down to 59,000 and then got it in with the {A-Spades}{J-Spades} against Peter Gal's {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The board blanked out reading {7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the Swede sat back down.

Jacyk Busts

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Krystof Jacyk was all in and at risk for around 10 big blinds in the last hand of the previous level with the {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Hans Petter Secker looked him up from two seats over with the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Besides the two live cards, the Pole also picked up a gutshot on the {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop, but neither the {8-Spades} turn nor the {4-Diamonds} river changed anything whatsoever.

Lahousse Needs Help

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Koen Lahousse only had four T-5,000 chips left after losing most of the short stack with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} against the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} of Eric Rapp on a board of {6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}. The Belgian then doubled up shortly after against Zoltan Bozoki and is the shortest stack with 5 big blinds for level 16.

Only One Lady Remains

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Salah Amran is vamping up his stack massively, as he busted Elisa de la Concha. The second last woman in the tournament held pocket aces but Amran had flopped trips with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} on {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The stacks went in after the {8-Clubs} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river bricked.

Westergaard Gone

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Vyacheslav Igin opened to 16,000 from under the gun and Benjamin Westergaard got his last 25,000 in from the small blind. Karl Stark then isolated from the big blind and Igin mucked pocket tens face up.

Westergaard: {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Stark: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades} and that sent the Dane to the rail.

Kleiven Busts Bank

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Gabor Bank was all in and at risk with the {K-Spades}{A-Spades} and table neighbor Joachim Kleiven looked him up with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The classical coin flip went towards the Norwegian on a board of {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Kleiven was all smiles.

Just a Pot of More than Half a Million

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Benjamin Westergaard
Benjamin Westergaard

Picking up the action on the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts} river, Salah Amran had fired 66,000 and Benjamin Westergaard check-raised all in for 226,000 in total. Amran needed some time to make the decision as he was the player at risk with slightly less chips. He stood up, studied the board and the opponent ... and tossed in a single chip for the call.

Westergaard flipped over his {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a missed gutshot after the turn and Amran was delighted, smashing his {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to the middle of the table for flopped trips. Amran is up to more than half a million while the Dane needs a miracle.
