Bad News for Ludwicki and Lestrade

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Fabrice Lestrade, who won the Unibet Belgium Poker Championship 2016 in Blankenberge earlier this year, was among the most recent players to have been eliminated. Further casualties include Nicolas Ludwicki, Gediminas Stake, Pasquale Grimaldi, Barry Mills and Dennis Kleinleugemors.

Ludwicki open-shoved his last 5,200 with the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Patrik Niko Vilander called from one seat over with the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The board came {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Vilander's kings held up.

Alfassi Back in Action

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Benny Kneepkens and Nissim Alfassi clashed very early on in a huge pot and Alfassi was left very short. Since then, the player from Israel grinded his way back and just won a flip with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} against the pocket sevens of Kneepkens on a board of {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Kneepkens still has a big stack, while Alfassi is suddenly back in contention.

De Jong Gets Some Value

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

On the heads-up flop of {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Dehlia de Jong bet 2,000 from the button into a pot of around 4,000 and her sole opponent Jean-Michel Ploch called in late position. Ploch then checked the {10-Clubs} turn and de Jong bet 3,000, picking up another call. Both then checked the {A-Spades} on the river and de Jong flashed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, which was good enough to win the pot.

The Current Big Stacks

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Constantin Daniel Georgescu appears to be the current chip leader with around three times the starting stack. He just won a tiny pot by betting the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop for 900 and then showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} when his opponents folded. Below are some further big stacks in level four.

Almost Two Dozen Casualties

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

According to the tournament screens, there are almost two dozen players already eliminated with 346 hopefuls left out of a massive field of 369 entries. That number will grow further, as the late registration remains open until the start of level seven. Below are some of the most recent casualties at a glance.

Seven Builds Stack

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Ekrem Tekin Seven
Ekrem Tekin Seven

With around 6,300 in the middle, and the flop showing {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, a bet to 7,250 was spotted in front of Ekrem Tekin Seven and a short stack shoved for 11,200. Eamon Macnamee called and so did Seven. On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Seven pushed and Mcnamee folded.

The short stack turned over his {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Seven had that beat with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, claiming the big pot after a blank {8-Clubs} on the river. Seven moved up to more than two times the starting stack.

Hedelin Busts Constantin

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A preflop raising war saw Florin Minea squeeze to 3,475 in th cutoff and Bo Joakim Hedelin just called from the button before Adrian-Costin Constantin moved all in for 13,650. Both Minea and Hedelin called, the flop then came {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Minea checked, Hedelin shoved and that forced a fold from Minea.

Adrian-Costin Constantin: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Bo Joakim Hedelin: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The {Q-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river were blanks and Constantin was eliminated.

Maria Eliminated

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Twitch Streamer Linnea Maria has been eliminated. After previously being down to just 2,000, she was all in preflop and picked up two callers in Zamfir Alin Petrica and David Tobi. The latter called a bet of the former on the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} river with no betting action prior to that on the flop and turn.

Tobi showed {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Petrica had already mucked, Maria was sent to the rail with the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.
