Ace Queen Versus Ace King

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Gordan Florin opened the button and his neighbor Daniel Petersen three-bet to 2,600 from the small blind. The big blind folded and action was back on Florin. He made it 6,600 and Petersen five-bet to 22,600. Florin was quick to announce all in (for 26,500) and Petersen made the call.

Florin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Petersen: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out an uneventful {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Florin doubled up.

Benger Busts One

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Griffin Benger got up from the table to tell us how he got that 75,000-stack in front of him.

Benger had been raising frequently and did so once more, now holding a real hand with {A-}{K-}. He made it 750 from first position and Unibet Open Glasgow champion Daniel Chutrov made the call two seats down.

"A Danish or Swedish looking guy" squeezed to 2,550 and action got back to Benger. Benger, the sole Canadian in the field today, four-bet to 6,750 and Chutrov folded. His opponent now shoved all in for around 30,000 and Benger snap called.

Benger's opponent showed {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and said something to the effect of "I am surprised. Why do you not flat?"

Benger, all smiles afterwards, told us he answered "Because I knew you were going to do something like this!"

The board ran out {9-}{3-}{2-}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Benger busted his nemesis.

Gabor Gergely Eliminated

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Action folded to Rosi Massimiliano and he made it 800 from middle position. In the hijack Gabor Gergely three-bet to 2,000 and Massimiliano made the call.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Massimiliano checked. Gergely answered with a bet of 2,000 and Massimiliano check raised to 6,000. Gergely now shoved all in for 15,625 and Massimiliano instantly called.

Massimiliano: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Gergely: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {9-Spades} on the turn and {A-Clubs} on the river were both blanks and Gergely made his exit.

Trips for Benger

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante
Griffin Benger
Griffin Benger

From the hijack Griffin Benger made it 1,000 to go and Tomasz Kozub, who finished runner up in the Unibet Open London back in 2012, made the call from the big blind.

Both players quickly checked on {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and the {K-Clubs} fell on the turn. Kozub checked, and called Benger's 1,500 bet.

The {A-Clubs} completed the board and Kozub checked for the third time. Benger bet 3,000 and Kozub called. Benger showed {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} which resulted in a quick muck from Kozub.

Despite winning this small pot, Benger is down a lot since the last time we checked up with him. His 40,000 stack is still above average though.

Level 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

Alessio Bassanelli made it 1,300 to go from early position and action folded to Romain Nardin. The Frenchman three-bet to 3,100 and Bassanelli made the call out of position.

Both players checked the entire board of {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Bassanelli showed {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} with a hopeful face. Nardin tabled {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and took down the small pot.
