Lappin Chips Up; Shows Quads

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
David Lappin
David Lappin

After a raise to 800 by Mihai Manole and a call by Orestis Kanakopoulos, David Lappin called on the button and Henrik Jeppsson in the small blind three-bet to 3,400. Unibet Poker eSports Star Kevin Teller folded in the big blind and Manole as well as Lappin called. The flop fell {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Jeppsson checked, Manole bet 5,000 and Lappin called before Jeppsson folded.

The {9-Hearts} turn was checked through and the {5-Spades} on the river brought a check by Manole. Lappin moved all in for effectively 18,000, as that's what Manole had left, and the Romanian folded. "I think I have to show because you are here," Lappin said and flashed {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for quads!

Bergmann Rising

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Fahredin Mustafov entered in level three and quickly bumped up his stack and Unibet Poker eSports Star Fredrik Bergmann just did so as well. According to Bergmann there was a min raise at his table and the next player three-bet. Bergmann four-bet from 1,200 to 3,500 in the small blind and just one opponent called.

The {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was checked and so was the {8-Spades} turn. On the {6-Spades} river, Bergmann bet 5,500 and his opponent called to muck as soon as the Norwegian flashed pocket queens.

Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Mateusz Moolhuizen is no longer in the running to make it three Unibet Open Main Event titles here in Bucharest after his nut flush draw failed to get there against the two pair of Dumitru Pora. His lucky charm, the unicorn, went back to Marion Adriaans and a copy of the unicorn sits with his better half Dehlia de Jong.

Todorov and Widmann Chop

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Simeon Todorov with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Alan Widmann with {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} both ended up with a king-high straight and the redraw of Todorov with the spades flush draw as free roll found no help to let it chop up. Widmann has dropped well below the starting stack and Sophia White is having a difficult time at her table with Dan Murariu and Neculai Macovei.

Lepik Cracks Aces

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Kaarel Lepik
Kaarel Lepik

Kaarel Lepik called a raise by Tzipi Fraid to see a flop of {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Fraid continued for 1,500, Lepik called on the small blind and a third player in the hand folded. The remaing stack of Fraid then went into the middle after the {8-Clubs} turn and Lepik quickly looked her up with {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a straight.

Fraid had {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for top set and the {2-Spades} on the river was a blank to award the pot to the 2017 Unibet Open Copenhagen champion.

Widmann's Kings Get Cracked

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Alan "Hotted89" Widmann
Alan "Hotted89" Widmann

Thijs Molendijk raised to 1,000 and Aan Widmann three-bet to 2,700, which the hijack called. Out of the small blind, Simeon Todorov squeezed to 13,500 and action folded back to Widmann, who moved all in for 17,000 in total. The hijack folded and Todorov called it off with the superior stack.

Alan Widmann: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Simeon Todorov: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Todorov an additional flush draw and the {A-Hearts} fell on the turn. A blank {2-Spades} on the river was of no help and the Unibet Poker eSports Star was eliminated.

Kerkeni The Table Captain

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Henrik Tellving
Henrik Tellving

Adrian-Sorel State from under the gun and Mohamed Kerkeni in the big blind saw a flop of {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the Frenchman checked. State bet 1,200 and Kerkeni check-raised to 5,025 to pick up a call by State. On the {A-Clubs} turn, Kerkeni bet 10,000 and that forced a fold.

Kerkeni is seemingly involved in every hand and has a decent stack, but Ognyan Ivanov already moved up to three starting stacks. That is still not good enough for the overall lead, as Henrik Tellving moved up even further.
