The shuffle up and deal for Day 1b has sounded! 169 players have taken their seats at the start, with a lot of players still in the queue to enter later on.
"Player out!"
While the other players were still taking their seats, poor Farook Ghafoor was already making his way to the exit. Bonno van den Hout was the executioner in a brutal set-over-set situation that left Ghafoor behind empty-handed.
Van den Hout was holding when Ghafoor limped. Van den Hout raised to 400 and Ghafoor called to see a flop appear. The limper checked, Van den Hout bet 600, Ghafoor check-raised to 1,600, Van den Hout three-bet to 5,200, Ghafoor shoved all in and Van den Hout snap-called.
Ghafoor held and needed the case four or backdoor diamonds to save his tournament life. The on the turn opened up the flush draw but the river blanked out.

Viktor Blom has taken his seat and instantly three-bet an opening from Florian Duta on the button. Duta made it 225 to go and Blom three-bet to 650. Duta wasn't impressed and four-bet to 1,200, which Blom quickly called.
The flop was and Blom snap-folded to a 1,450 bet from Duta.

Thijs "ThijsNL" Molendijk is for the second time at the Unibet Open and played the eSports Battle Royale earlier this week. The popular Hearthstone streamer wasn't able to win that one - Swedish Counter-Strike: GO star Kim PapaDrayich took those honors - but he has another chance in the Main Event.
After being down a bit in the opening stages, Molendijk got some back by opening the button and taking the pot from the blinds with a continuation bet.
