"Let Me Die Please"

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the river of a completed board of {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Jonas Ketelsen was all in for 41,200 and Pierre de Almeida called with the slightly superior stack. Ketelsen showed the {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a flopped full house and de Almeida had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} for an aces cracked story.

However, he had some chips left and was all in for 3,600 the next hand with {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Brian Soerensen called in the big blind with {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and flopped two pair on {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}. De Almeida was on the way out, but the {4-Clubs} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river kept him in alive. "Let me die please," the Frenchman joked. Right after he shoved again for 8,300 with {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and Carlos Delvigo Gonzalez reshoved with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

The Spaniard asked for a sweat and got it on {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, but the {K-Spades} turn locked up the second double for the Frenchman, making the {J-Hearts} river a formality.

Tsikopoulos Jams Up Stack

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After defending his big blind against a button raise by Jorma Vuoksenmaa, Konstantinos Tsikopoulos checked the {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} flop and so did Vuoksenmaa. On the {6-Hearts} turn, the Greek bet 2,400 and Vuoksenmaa called before facing the near instant shove of Tsikopoulos on the {6-Clubs} river.

"I fold," Vuoksenmaa rather quickly said, flashed one of his cards and sent them into the muck.

Plomp and Veza Eliminated

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Pavao Veza
Pavao Veza

Gordon Plomp was spotted while leaving his table and the Belgian, who had qualified for this event in one of the first Satellites on Unibet Poker, had gotten it in for nine big blinds with {A-}{6-}. Another similar short-stacked player had the {A-}{K-} and a king on the flop all but sealed Plomp's fate.

Pavao Veza, who finished third in the Unibet Open Bucharest back in December 2017, was also among those to bust. He three-bet all in with king-queen and initial raiser Markus Heikkila called with ace-queen to immediately spike an ace on the flop.

Small Pots for Laerke and McMillan

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a button raise and a call by the player in the small blind, Nikolaj Laerke defended the bi blind and the trio checked the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Laerke bet 3,500 and that was all it took to claim the pot uncontested.

Scott "Sco" McMillan opened to 3,000 and was called by Antony Wickert in the hijack. On a flop of {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, McMillan made it 6,000 to go and Wickert elected to fold.
