Limped Pot Pays Off for Marttinen

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Mateusz Moolhuizen limped in from the hijack which invited Antti Marttinen to come along from the cutoff. Both of the blinds also tagged along and four players saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

The action checked to Moolhuizen who bet 500. Marttinen called along with Rik Katerberg in the small blind. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the action checked to Marttinen this time who bet 1,000. Katerberg called and Moolhuizen stepped aside.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Katerberg checked once more. Marttinen sized up a bet of 6,000 this time and Katerberg finally threw his cards to the muck.

First Hiccup for Kanic-Mitrovic

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Luca Beretta
Luca Beretta

With around 10,000 already in the middle, the dealer fanned the flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Luca Beretta and Uros Kanic-Mitrovic were heads-up in the pot and the two players quickly got all of the chips in the middle with Beretta at risk for 24,000.

Luca Beretta: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Uros Kanic-Mitrovic: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Both players held an overpair to the board but it was Beretta who had a comfortable lead. The {8-Clubs} on the turn and the {6-Clubs} on the river changed nothing as Beretta held on for a double up. It was the first hiccup for Kanic-Mitrovic who has been having a stellar start to the day sitting among the leaders.

Jurkovil Gives Up on the River

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Jussi Perlinen made it 700 to go from the hijack and was called by Stjepan Jurkovil in the cutoff. Bjorn Kadgien also came along from the big blind to see a flop of {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The action checked around to the {6-Diamonds} on the turn and both Kadgien and Perlinen checked again. Jurkovil tossed in a bet of 1,800 and only Kadgien called.

The river was the {4-Spades} and Kadgien checked for the third time. Jurkovil gave up and checked it back. Kadgien tabled {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for two pair and Jurkovil conceded the pot.

Grekul Flops Two Pair to Stay Alive

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Renato Messina opened to 800 in early position and was called by Alexander Lebedev in middle position. Igor Grekul was down to just 4,300 chips and moved all in from the cutoff. Bartlomiej Grabowski flat-called from the small blind and both Messina and Lebedev folded.

Igor Grekul: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Bartlomiej Grabowski: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Grekul needed to connect with the board in order to stay alive and he did so in a big way on the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} flop. The {a-Spades} on the turn gave Grabowski some outs for the win or for the chop, but the {7-Diamonds} on the river ensured Grekul of a double up.

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Ian Simpson raised it up to 600 from under the gun and was called by Llkaa Kasperi on his left and Jorma Vuoksenmaa in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the action checked to Kasperi who bet 600. Vuoksenmaa folded but Simpson called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Simpson led out for 2,300 this time. Kasperi called to see the {2-Hearts} hit the river. Simpson fired out another bet of 4,200 and Kasperi thought for over a minute before letting his hand go.
