On the three-way turn of {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}, the action checked to Andreas Leledakis and he bet 5,500 into a pot of 10,500. One fold followed, but Cosmin Cristescu had other plans and check-raised to 15,000 with few chips behind. Leledakis pushed all in and Cristescu quickly called.

Cosmin Cristescu: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Andreas Leledakis: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The {7-Spades} on the river was a blank and Cristescu doubled for 21,100, leaving Leledakis on very few chips.

Traian Bostan wins the 2016 Unibet Open in Bucharest

Marius Pertea and Traian Bostan secured back-to-back titles for Romanian on home soil when taking down the Unibet Open Bucharest Main Events in consecutive years. Pertea just sat down and Bostan has already been in action for some time over on table one right next to Ian Simpson.

Bostan just now got involved into a pot with Dumitru Pora and bet the {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} river for 7,000 into a pot of 9,000. Pora had checked and eventually released his cards into the muck.

Another three players have been eliminated including Andrei Nodea and Pablo Sanz Quiles. The latter bluffed off a big chunk very early on to Martin Wendt and several other players on his former table have already chipped up.

Katie Swift can also be found there, but she just took a hit when check-calling a bet of 4,700 on the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} river. Hallstein Boerve on the button showed {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for the flush and Swift mucked.

Manolea Doubles Through Pertea

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Marius Pertea
Marius Pertea

With the completed board showing {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Marius Pertea bet 24,000 into a pot of 20,000 and Luciana Manolea was the only remaining opponent. Manolea had 11,500 behind and double-checked her cards, took another minute of consideration and shrugged before pushing forward her stack with the words "I call."

Pertea tabled the {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for aces and fives, Manolea had that beat with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and doubled.

Simpson Busts on the Feature Table

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Ian Simpson
Ian Simpson

Over on the feature table in the last level, Ian Simpson three-bet an open raise of Dumitru Pora from 400 to 1,200 in the cutoff with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Pora called with the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in the under-the-gun position. They checked the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop and Pora bet the {10-Hearts} turn for 1,100, Simpson called.

After the {K-Clubs} river, Pora checked and Simpson bet 3,500 with around 26,000 behind. Pora check-shoved for 29,300 and both players held near identical stacks. Simpson engaged in table chat with his opponent for more than two minutes and eventually flicked in the call to get shown the bad news. The stacks were counted and the Unibet Poker ambassador was covered to bow out. He will have to re-enter on Day 1c later today to get a second chance at running up a stack for day 2.

Manolea Runs Riot; Busts Pertea and Hills

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Luciana Manolea
Luciana Manolea

Luciana Manolea has boosted her stack significantly and sent Marius Pertea as well as Andy Hills to the rail.

According to Hills, Manolea bet a four-flush river and Pertea moved all in with {K-}{10-} to get called by Manolea with the {Q-Hearts} in her hand.

Soon after, Hills clashed with Manolea and also ended up second-best. A raise to 700 by Hills was met by a three-bet to 2,600 on the button and the Brit four-bet to 6,900, Manolea called. On the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, Hills checked with around 14,000 behind and Manolea glanced at his stack before betting 15,000. Hills gave it some thought and called all in.

Andy Hills: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Luciana Manolea: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {J-Spades} turn and {8-Clubs} river bricked off and Hills was gone.

Apparently, the duo had played in the SuperStack Side Event the previous day where he saw Manolea three-bet very frequently. "I called because I thought ace-king would have gotten it in preflop," Hills added before heading out of the tournament area.

Svennoss Eliminated

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Sven Edelenbosch
Sven Edelenbosch

Sven "Svennoss" Edelenbosch had returned from dinner with a shorter stack, which also applied for Katie Swift, and they shared the same fate to run out of chips in quick succession.

Edelenbosch faced a raise to 900 by Mihail Rablou and a call by Laurentiu Avram, then jammed for the last 8,200. Rablou asked for a count and called, trying to get Avram also into the mix, but a quick fold followed.

Sven Edelenbosch: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Mihail Rablou: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

"Ah, nice," Edelenbosch said when he spotted the aces on the other side of the table. The Dutch streamer picked up some hope on the {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, but the {J-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river were of no help.

Alan Widmann
Alan Widmann

Alan "Hotted89" Widmann raised and Tudor Bartha Lazar three-bet to 3,500 from two seats over. Henri Vaeisaenen in the big blind jammed for 14,200 and Widmann called. Lazar eventually folded and said later in table chat he folded queens.

Henri Vaeisaenen: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Alan Widmann: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop gave Widmann top two pair, and the {7-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river sent Vaeisaenen to the rail.

Wendt Takes a Hit

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Marian Firoiu raised to 1,600 and picked up one caller. Martin Wendt three-bet the button to 6,900 and Firoiu shoved for 11,700, which forced out the cold-caller. Wendt called and the Dane quickly shook his head with the words "I knew it" upon spotting the cards of his opponent.

Marian Firoiu: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Martin Wendt: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Wendt lost one third of his stack.
