Bechrakis Busts Uta

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Evangelos Bechrakis
Evangelos Bechrakis

John "Swifty" Pyle has grinded up an above-average stack over on table two and even bigger pile of chips belongs to Evangelos Bechrakis. The Greek just sent Codrut Uta to the rail when he called the shove for around 35,000 with {A-Spades}{8-Spades}. Uta had the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and the board came {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to provide a sweat, but ultimately no help for the Romanian.

Bostan Escapes From Elimination

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Traian Bostan had jammed first to act and Andrei Jambor reshoved from one seat over. Bostan was in need of help with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} against the {A-}{K-} of Jambor and got there thanks to the board {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Luciana Manolea has also chipped up some on the same table, having dropped to a mere 15,000 not long ago.

Pre Dinner Eliminations

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Only 107 players remain and that number has been rapidly shrinking in the last few hours, as the field is approaching the dinner break and upcoming money bubble with rapid steps.

The Aggression of Bizera Wins

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A squeeze to 18,500 was in front of Razvan Bizera on the button and Amanda Sidark then made it 45,000 to go from the big blind. This had already forced out the initial raiser and Bizera simply splashed in his tower of T-5,000 chips to give Sidark the option to call all in or fold.

Sidark opted to surrender and Bizera continued his aggressive path to boost the stack without showdown.

Stan Doubles Through Murariu

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

James Noonan opened to 4,000 first to act and Dan Murariu in the cutoff, as well as Iulian Tataru in the small blind, called. Solomon Stan then jammed for the last 22,500 in the big blind, which sent Noonan in the think tank. The Irishman folded and Murariu reshoved to force out Tataru.

Solomon Stan: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Dan Murariu: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Stan flopped top two on {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Murariu needed running cards to deal the final blow. With the {J-Spades} turn, Stan had the check mark and the {4-Hearts} river was already meaningless.

Byrne Continues to Rise

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Joining the action on the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Diamonds} turn, Daiva Byrne checked out of the small blind and Andrei Tamaduianu made it 10,000 to go with around 65,000 behind. Byrne opted to check-raise, making it 25,000 to go. Tamaduianu was very tempted to call, but ended up folding.

One table over, Evangelos Bechrakis also continues to rise. The Greek was down to as little as 9,000 chips on Day 1b and has become one of the chip leaders on Day 2 thus far.

Baltateanu Busts Chiriac

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Silviu Baltateanu
Silviu Baltateanu

Petre Chiriac flopped a flush draw and turned an open ender with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} when he got it in against the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} of Silviu Baltateanu. On the {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} turn, Chiriac had a lot of outs, but bricked off on the {2-Spades} river to forfeit his remaining, 70,000 in chips.

Baltateanu celebrated his victory loudly, having nearly doubled his stack, and continued to talk loudly in Romanian for nearby tables to hear while raking in the pot.

Reynad No More

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Andrey Yanyuk
Andrey Yanyuk

Stefan Drusca leads the former feature table with 235,000 in chips and he is closely followed by Johan Creutz. Andrey "Reynad" Yanyuk had a decent stack there not long ago, but is no longer featured.

According to Creutz, it was a three-way all in with pocket jacks for Yanyuk, pocket fives for Levente Pal and the ace-queen of the Swede. Creutz improved to top two pair with an ace and a queen appearing, sending the esports streamer to the rail.
