The move of Sabau came at the wrong time and the flop left him with running outs only. The turn left him drawing dead, which made the river a formality.
"I would have called if he folded," Winther said in table chat.
Gilles Huet raised it up with the and chip leader Martin Soukup defended the big blind with the . On the flop, Soukup check-raised from 40,000 to 115,000 and Huet gave it some consideration before moving all in for 345,000.

Alexandru Palievici lost quite a few chips since returning from the dinner break and was just involved in several pots that left his stack fluctuate massively.
Palievici bet the river for 50,000 with in the small blind and Espen Uhlen Jorstad reluctantly called with the , Martin Soukup folded and Jorstad claimed the pot.
In the next hand, Palievici jammed the small blind and Gilles Huet called after brief consideration for the last 200,000.

Palievici took the lead on the turn, fell behind and got some river magic on the board to remain in contention.
Corentin Ropert four-bet jammed into Razvan Sabau and forced a fold to boost his stack. However, soon after he would lose most of those chips again in a hand with Catalin Moraru.
Moraru under the gun bet the turn for 105,000 and Ropert called in the cutoff. Moraru bet again a blank river and Ropert folded.
Bogdan Sovaiala raised the button with the and Martin Soukup defended the big blind with . Soukup checked the flop and called a bet of 50,000.
The turn gave Soukup the nut straight and both players checked to the river. Soukup bet 275,000, which covered the remaining 205,000 of Sovaiala, and the Romanian eventually called it off with top pair to end up in 14th place for €4,820.
