The last two starting flights for the 2023 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech at Casino de Marrakech will take place today, with Day 1c beginning at 1 p.m. local time and a turbo Day 1d flight set to begin at 9 p.m. local time. Yesterday's Day 1b flight attracted 240 entrants, 53 of whom found a bag at the end of the night. Of those 53 survivors, Thierry Dinael bagged the biggest stack of the night, finishing with 844,000.

Other notables to find a bag at the end of the night included Guillaume Darcourt (515,000) and Unibet Team Pros David Lappin (367,000) and Alexandre Reard (332,000). Reard already has two runner up finishes and two first place finishes in previous UDSO main events while Lappin previously won a UDSO high roller event in 2017. Both will be players to watch during Saturday's Day 2.
Like yesterday, players will start at 1 p.m. local time with 50,000 in chips and play 50-minute levels. Late registration will be open for the first nine levels for each Day 1, and there are unlimited re-entries permitted during that period. Cards are in the air starting at 1 p.m. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a one-hour dinner break after level 8. The day will conclude after 13 levels at approximately 2:00 a.m. local time on Saturday October 6

With players heads up on a board reading 3♣6♦8♠3♥ and about 11,000 already in the middle, Moulay Driss Toujri bet 2,100 from the big blind and received a call from "SalimSef" in early position.
The river came the 8♥ and this time Toujri went with a check. "SalimSef" bet 3,100 and after briefly considering his options Toujri decided to fold, telling his opponent he had 7x7x after the hand.
