Flop Check Haunts Hatim
Level 2
: Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Michael Ahmetaj opened to 700 from under the gun and was called by Didier Secheresse from the next seat over. Saber Hatim three-bet to 3,600 for the action to fold back to Ahmetaj. He called and so did Secheresse.
All three players checked the flop and turn, for the board to read Q♠8♥4♠A♦3♦. Ahmetaj led out for a sizeable 12,000, which quickly got rid of Secheresse. Hatim tanked for around a minute before making the call.
Ahmetaj showed down a set of threes with his 3♠3♣, besting his opponent's K♦Q♥.
There's also a chip leader at the same table, in the form of Salah Eddine Taleb. He got his chips from Louis Michaud, who was one of the last casualties before the break.
