Isabel Baltazar Wins UDSO Marrakech High Roller
France’s Isabel Baltazar became the latest champion at UDSO Marrakech on Thursday, taking down the UDSO High Roller for 523,000 MAD (€49,162). Baltazar became the second women to pick up a trophy in Morocco, after Aurelie Reard won the Warm Up earlier in the series.
The most expensive tournament of the festival drew 193 entries to generate a prize pool of 2,475,200 MAD (approx. €232,700), and has offered up the biggest first-place prize so far.
Baltazar began the day as chip leader and went wire-to-wire to claim the championship belt, marking the third-biggest score of her career and her first recorded win since 2015. The result also moves her career live earnings past $1.2 million.
Gregory Dupuy collected 365,000 MAD for his runner-up finish, while recent EPT Barcelona Main Event 11th-place finisher Yohan Rascar took third place for 242,000 MAD.
