Day 3 of UDSO Marrakech Main Event Set to Crown a Champion

Samir Sebii

The record-breaking 2025 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech Main Event is set for its finale today at Casino de Marrakech. The tournament attracted an all-time high 937 entries, building a prize pool of 4,768,000 MAD, and after a grueling Day 2, only 31 players remain in the hunt.

The first milestone of the day will be reaching the three-table redraw at 24 players, before the race intensifies to the final table. Once the last nine are set, each player will have secured at least 74,000 MAD, while all eyes will be on the 765,000 MAD payday and the chance to be crowned UDSO Marrakech champion

Cards go back in the air at 1 p.m. local time on Sunday, September 22, and the stage is set for an action-packed day that will decide the champion.

Spain’s Manuel Lopez leads the way after bagging 3,885,000 (78 big blinds). Close behind are Quentin Laugt (3,745,000) and Samir Sebii (3,155,000), with Frederic Popot (3,100,000) also stacked for a deep run.

France dominates the upper counts, with Tristan Forge and Sylvain Barca in strong positions, while Germany’s Patrick Rudau and Mauritania’s Hassan Atigh fly the flag for Germany and Mauritania.

Not everyone is returning with comfort. Short stacks such as Hamza Bounnit (135,000 – 3 big blinds), Richard Dromzee (280,000 – 6 big blinds), and Marijo (550,000 – 11 big blinds) will need early doubles to stay in contention. Cristina Jugastru, Ghali Hsissen, and Marcin Rejmak are also in the danger zone as play resumes.
