No Sweat for Alves Mendes

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Antonio Alves Mendes opened to 1,000 on the button. Small blind capriccio1 made it 3,400 to go, and the big blind folded. Alves Mendes four-bet to 11,000, and capriccio1 called all in for slightly less.

capriccio1: A♠Q♣ All in
Antonio Alves Mendes: 7♦7♠

The 6♦8♥7♣ flop saw capriccio1 all but dead, as he was drawing to only a running chop. The K♥ turn sealed his elimination, making the 4♠ river nothing more than a formality.

Akerlind Bets Them Out

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Sami Akerlind opened to 600 from early position. Kody flatted from the cutoff, and Paul Leckey did the same from the small blind.

The three saw a flop of A♥J♠8♥ and Akerlind continued for 900 following Leckey's check. Kody called, and Leckey got out of the way.

The 5♥ turn quickly checked through, bringing in the 4♣ river. Akerlind threw out 1,200, and Kody snap-folded.

Faria Shows a King

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up on the turn, with the board reading J♠10♥3♦Q♣.

Both the blinds, Toktok2b and Pablo Villena, checked over to Valter Faria in the cutoff, who threw out 2,800. Toktok2b called, but Villena folded.

The river was the 9♦ and Toktok2b checked again. Faria continued for 5,000, which generated a fold from his opponent. Faria showed the K♠

Jack-High Wins it For Groshens

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Pascal Groshens opened to 700 from middle position. Shahin Norouzian called from the cutoff, and LaGoutte defended his big blind.

Groshens continued for 1,000 when checked to on the 5♦A♦4♥ flop, and only LaGoutte called. The two then checked down both the A♠ turn and Q♠ river.

LaGoutte tabled 6♣3♣ for just six-high, meaning that the J♦9♦ of Groshens was enough to win the pot.

Rajbaoui Early Chip Leader

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up in a pot between big blind Chamseddine Rajbaoui and under the gun player Paul Leckey.

Rajbaoui, who had already acquired the table chip lead by quite a margin, checked over to Leckey on a J♣6♣10♠6♦ board. Leckey fired 1,900 into a pot of around 5,000, and Rajbaoui made the call.

Action swiftly went check-check on the 2♠ river, and Rajbaoui tabled 10♣9♥ for two pair. Leckey won the pot with a superior two pair, holding K♥K♦

At the same table slightly earlier, Michel Leibgorin was eliminated. He has since re-entered.

ZiNHO Overbets

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

ZiNHO opened the action with a raise to 500 under the gun. His only caller was miselea3, who defended his big blind.

The 3♠4♣8♦ flop checked through to the J♠ turn, and miselea3 checked again. He then called a bet of 500 from his opponent.

The river A♠ was dealt, and miselea3 checked for a third time. ZiNHO then fired out a huge overbet of 5,200, which sent miselea3 into the tank. He laughed to himself, and sat back in his chair, before eventually returning his cards to the dealer.

Groshens Rivers a Set

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was caught on the turn. With 4,700 in the middle, and the board reading 4♠6♣2♠K♦ Small blind Mara checked his option.

Big blind capriccio1 then led out for 3,000, and was called by under the gun player Pascal Groshens. Mara folded.

The river 10♦ didn't see capriccio1 slow down, as he upped his sizing to 4,000. Groshens quickly called, prompting his opponent to table 6♠4♦ for a flopped two pair. It was no good, however, as Groshens had made three of a kind, holding 10♣10♠ for the winner.

Akerlind Takes One Early

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Michel Leibgorin opened to 500 under the gun. Chamseddine Rajbaoui called the bet to his left, as did Sami Akerlind in the big blind.

Action checked through on the 10♠9♠7♥ flop, bringing in the 6♠ turn. Akerlind led out for 600, and saw both of his opponents fold.
