2026 Unibet Open Marrakech
Thierry Dany opened to 11,000 from middle position, and Adrian Lipe flatted the bet to his left. Action folded around to small blind Ziga Klopcic, who slid forward a three-bet to 50,000.
Dany got out of the way, and Lipe shoved, covering Klopcic's stack of 125,000. Klopcic snapped it off.
Ziga Klopcic: A♣K♣
Adrian Lipe: J♣J♠
The A♠J♥Q♣ flop improved Klopcic to top-top, but he was still in rough shape against Lipe's set. He traded straight outs for boat outs on the Q♦ turn, but was already out of his seat by the time the 9♠ river sealed his fate.
Sebastien Compte opened to 10,000 from early position. Yussuke was in middle position, and he placed 12,000 into the middle, which was deemed as a call by the dealer. Both Small blind Ali Mechiche Alami and big blind Grégory Fournier completed, the latter leaving himself just 9,000 behind.
Alami checked the 2♠6♣Q♠ flop, and Fournier thought it was good enough to go with, as he moved all in. Compte raised to 34,000, and both Yussuke and Alami folded.
Grégory Fournier: J♠8♠
Sebastien Compte: K♦Q♣
Fournier had flopped some equity, and turned even more when the 8♥ was put out by the dealer. It wasn't to be, however, as the 4♥ river spelled an end to his journey.
Action folded around to Fermin Lopez , who opened to 10,000 from middle position. Sat two to his left, in the cutoff, Yussuke made it 33,000 to go. The button and the blinds got out of the way, leading the action back to Lopez.
He wasn't finished betting, and cut out a four-bet to 70,000. Yussuke made a pained face while the bet was being placed, but that didn't stop him from announcing "all in," for a total of 228,000.
Lopez thought for quite some time, before eventually letting his hand go.
Action was picked up preflop, as Paul Leckey had put in a three-bet on the button over an open from cutoff player Alexis. Alexis jammed, and Leckey called.
Paul Leckey: Q♣Q♠
Alexis: K♣K♦
It was a classic preflop cooler, and Leckey remained on the wrong side of it throughout, as the 4♦3♦3♣6♥10♣ runout offered him no solace.
Level: 16
Blinds: 2,000/5,000
Ante: 5,000
Fermin Lopez opened to 8,000 early position. Two seats to his left, LaGouz flatted the bet, as did Hammer next to act.
Redwan Ferman then jammed his 86,000 from the cutoff, sending big blind Mohamed Amakrane deep into the tank. When it folded to him. After around a minute, he pushed one stack forward, then another, only to be informed that his action constituted a call, not a re-shove. He left just 22,000 behind, but it didn't make a difference as the other three players in the pot folded in quick succession.
Redwan Ferman: K♦J♣
Mohamed Amakrane: J♥J♦
Ferman was looking for a king, and it came in brutal fashion, as the river of the 6♥7♥10♣3♣K♥ runout saw him scoop an all-important double, alongside some extra dead money.

Poker may experience a boom among chess players as a popular chess website with millions of daily users launched a poker site and training program. Gambit, launched by Chess.com, is a free-to-use poker software where players can play against bots, friends, and other online users. They can also be walked through the basics of the game, take poker strategy lessons, and track their poker stats.
Gambit is specifically aimed at helping new players become introduced to the game without having to lose money or be pushed in-app purchases.
"Here's what it is: a poker site built for learning," Chess.com Chief Growth Officer Albert Cheng said in a May blog post. "No real-money gambling. No rake. Just the parts of the chess playbook that have made it work for millions of people, applied to poker."
Gambit, which is available on desktop as well as iOS and Android, will be immediately familiar to Chess.com users as the two share the same interface and graphics.
