Leathem Binks the River

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 4,000 in the cutoff only to see Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Andrew Leathem called in the big blind and Bonomo folded.

The flop came down {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and both players checked. The {9-Clubs} fell on the turn and both checked again. The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Chidwick bet 18,000. Leathem made the call and Chidwick tabled the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Leathem turned over the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} spiking a bigger pair on the river and was pushed the pot.

Bonomo Out-Kicks Leathem

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 3,500 from the cutoff finding calls from Elijah Berg on the button and Andrew Leathem in the big blind. A {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop was spread and all three players checked getting the {4-Spades} on the turn for free.

Bonomo bet 6,000 removing Berg from the hand and Leathem check-called. The {8-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked.

Leathem tabled the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} but Bonomo had him out-kicked with the {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Mateos Left Short

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,500 ante

A 40,000 pot sat in the middle between Adrian Mateos and Almedin Imsirovic with a completed board reading {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}. Imsirovic had bet 30,000, enough to cover Mateos' remaining stack and Mateos looked like he was in agony.

Two timebank chips were needed before Mateos eventually found a fold.

Kempe Shoves on Peters; Shak Enters

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,500 ante

A sizeable pot was brewing on the turn of a {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board between Rainer Kempe and David Peters. There looked to be about 80,000 piled up and action was on Kempe.

The first 30 seconds went by before Kempe made his move. He slid a timebank chip to the dealer and moments later slid the rest of his stack forward. Peters quickly released and Kempe dragged in the pot.

As that hand was going down, Dan Shak entered the room and has taken his seat in the event.
