Same Ol' Song and Dance

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Sean Winter shoved all in from the small blind. Daniel Negreanu folded his big blind and Chidwick instantly called for his last 497,000. Winter tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} but Chidwick woke up with another monster holding {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and just like that, Chidwick moved over the one million chip mark.

Meanwhile on the other table, Keith Tilston doubled through Isaac Haxton into the chip lead after flopping top two pair.

Short Stacks Keep Doubling

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Keith Tilston opened to 45,000 from the cutoff and David Peters three-bet to 115,000 on the button. The action folded back to Tilston who jammed all in which was met by a call from Peters.

David Peters: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Keith Tilston: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

It was a race situation with Peters being the player at risk for 498,000. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Peters improved to a straight to earn the double up.

Chidwick Won't Lay Down

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Sean Winter shipped all in on the button and Stephen Chidwick took a moment but eventually called off his last 296,000 out of the big blind. Chidwick tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and was ahead of Winter's {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

"I owe you one this week!" Winter said before the board was dealt.

When the flop hit the felt, it came {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, giving Winter a straight draw to go with his one overcard, although Chidwick held two of those outs. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river brought the {2-Diamonds} as Chidwick doubled up again to fight his way off of the short stack.

Haxton's Turn to Double

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Isaac Haxton opened to 36,000 and Matt Hyman called on the button. David Peters also tagged along from the big blind to see the flop of {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The action checked to Hyman who tossed in a bet of 60,000. Peters folded and Haxton check-raised to 140,000. Hyman instantly announced all in and Haxton wasted little time before making the call.

Isaac Haxton: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Matt Hyman: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Haxton was well out in front and the {10-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {a-Hearts} on the river never changed anything. Haxton scored a huge double up to vault over seven figures.

Chidwick Doubles Again

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded to Daniel Negreanu in the small blind who shoved all in. Stephen Chidwick was in the big blind with just 175,000 behind and made the call.

Chidwick had the dominating hand with {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} against Negreanu's {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Chidwick had all but wrapped the hand up. The {9-Clubs} on the turn put a lock on the hand, and Chidwick managed to find yet another double up.

Dan Smith Eliminated on the Money Bubble

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith shoved all in for 259,000 from under the gun and was called by Keith Tilston in the small blind. Smith turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but was dominated by Tilston's {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Smith spiked an eight to take the lead. However, the {q-Spades} landed on the turn and Tilston reclaimed the lead. Smith was left drawing to the single {8-Hearts} and it was not meant to be. The {a-Diamonds} completed the board and Smith was eliminated.

"Dan you owe me $100," Daniel Negreanu shouted from the other table.

"That's cold," Sean Winter said about the needle.

"It's OK, he's too rich to care," Negreanu replied with a laugh.

Tollerene Takes Over the Lead

Level 16 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Isaac Haxton raised to 35,000 on the button and Ben Tollerene defended from the big blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Tollerene check-called a bet of 23,000 from Haxton.

The turn brought the {k-Clubs} and Tollerene checked again. Haxton fired another 125,000 and Tollerene stuck around to see the {10-Clubs} on the river. Tollerene checked for the third time and Haxton announced a bet of 310,000. Tollerene slid in the chips to call and Haxton turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Tollerene, however, tabled {k-Spades}{10-Spades} and rivered a bigger two pair to scoop the pot.
