Kenney Runs Into a Hot Tilston

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney started with a raise from under the gun and was faced with a three-bet from Keith Tilston in the big blind. Kenney piled the rest of his chips into the middle and was snapped off by Tilston.

Kenney turned over pocket sevens but into the pocket aces of Tilston. With his tournament life on the line, Kenney would need to find a seven on the board in order to stay alive. Unfortunately for Kenney, the board ran out clean for Tilston and Kenney was eliminated.

There will now be a short break while the final seven players gather at the feature table.

Tilston Continues Applying Pressure

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Brian Rast raised it up to 18,000 on the button and Keith Tilston re-raised to 65,000 out of the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Tilston led out for 40,000. Rast stuck around to see the {3-Hearts} pair the board on the turn.

Tilston reached back for a bet of 140,000 and Rast wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck. The stack sizes on the outer table are fairly big and there's not much movement between them.

Dan Smith raised all in from the small blind with {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Cary Katz snapped him off with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. It was a race and Katz's tournament life was on the line.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Smith took the lead with a pair of kings. The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Katz picked up a flush draw. The dealer burned and turned the {4-Diamonds} on the river and Katz nailed his flush as he turned to Daniel Negreanu to give him a high five.

Ben Tollerene
Ben Tollerene

Ben Tollerene three-bet to 29,000 preflop with the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Daniel Negreanu called holding the {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Negreanu binked the {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and Tollerene bet 30,000.

Negreanu just flatted and the {2-Spades} hit the turn. Tollerene bet 70,000 and Negreanu check-called bringing the {3-Spades} on the river.

Negreanu checked one more time and snap-called Tollerene's shove to bust Tollerene in ninth place.
